Having watched them all again, I have a new respect for Matty Lappin's, running back with the flight, leap on to the shoulders and brings it down!

Have voted in the poll but if I had to order them;

4. Jezza (Great mark, commentary gave it legend status)

Jezza, just above Tex. He jumps from about 3 miles back and lands like a butterfly with sore feet on Jenkins shoulders.

I just love the whole reaction to Walker's mark. Seeing Bomber fans jumping out of their seats & clapping, says it all.

I have been fortunate enough to have seen them all live, but the one that will always stick in my mind is "Jesaulenko You Beauty".

Was very young at the time but I will never forget it and that's not taking away from the Buzz, SOS, Skinny Lappin & SkyWalker.

All brilliant marks.

I'd say Walker but admittedly I'm just not old enough to have seen marks like Jezza's at the time and got to appreciate how good it was for the time and the moment.

Gone for Walker's based on how awesome it is visually and the hang time but they are all great. Even little Eddies

Swap Silvagni and Lappin around and I agree. ..

Silvagni was a defensive mark which adds to it plus zero self preservation and took the ball higher than Walks for similar hang time. ..
Lappin - Back with the flight, love it. ..
Walker - Classic
Jezza - Good solid speccy but the commentary makes it legend
Buzz - Great pack mark but when you ride a team mate its not as good

For artistic ability then nothing gets past Walker's. However, you must remember when Jezza took his mark. Carlton were in all sorts of bother before he took that mark. Carlton were trailing by heaps and not far from being out of the game completely. As much as Ron Barrassi's coaching strategy changed the game of football that day if not for acts of pure inspiration, none better than Jezza's mark, then Carlton may not have had the spirit and the courage to not only get back into the game but to win. For that reason Jezza's mark will forever be etched in Carlton folklore and is the best mark ever taken by a Carlton player. For mine, it was not simply the commentary that made it what it was but the timing.

The question is akin to asking a basketball player what game meant more - a fifty point game when a team is out of the playoff race or a thirty point game when the season is on the line.

I think Silvagni got a bit higher and had similar hang time to Walker, but to me those 2 are very hard to split. I'd rate them like this:

1. Silvagni - The iconic mark for me while growing up. Never get sick of it.
2. Lappin - High degree of difficulty coming in from the side.
3. Jezza
4. Walker - Carlisle or whoever it is under him practically assisted him taking the mark.

Having only seen Walker and Lappins marks live, I have to go with Walks. Seriously watching the video does it no justice. It was so much better live it isn't even funny! Really have no idea how it wasn't MOTY. Lappins mark was awesome as well but just behind Walker.

I understand the occasion makes Jezzas mark more impressive being in the GF and with what the scores were like (and the commentary made it better as well) but in isolation it probably wasn't as good mark as the other two.

All of them are amazing though!

1. Jezza - pretty simple, launched onto the head of a bloke 6'6 and fell back to earth, in front of 121 thousand people.

Still reckon his mark against Richmond was better though.

The others all equal second.

I agree with Aphro... Jezza's mark is the best. It was also the catalyst for the turn around in the 70 grand final and helped Wobblewood to lose the unlosable final. At that point they were well on top and Jezza just turned it around with 'That Mark'.

The others are really good... but for motivation... Jezza wins.
