Roast Poor Crowd Turnout Last Night

Was just over 40k at the Ground and I think Majority of them where Cat Fans.

I sat in the top level of the Ponsford Stand and was very empty. Ton of Empty Seats and same with Bottom Level.

Was Said to see us Outnumbered again.

Dare say more will turn up vs Bummers after our Big Win.

You Agree?

Just from what I saw on the telly I have to say I agree. There were a few shots where I couldn't see anyone in the top seats, completely empty. It was surprising, even for a dead rubber.

I said to my uncle (who I was with at the game) that I thought there'd be about 40k. Disappointing, although not surprising. Friday night, cold, nothing on the line, live on TV. However, for those of us who bit the bullet, we were rewarded handsomely. That's all that matters to me.

Dead rubber, away game seems about right. I reckon somewhere between 40 and 50 next weekend

Dead Rubber is no real excuse. I thought a win was Unlikely after Tigers game but I still went.

Was great game to see us play last night

It was a Cats home game, a game in which they had more to play for, and they definitely outnumbered us last night. The roar when Menzel kicked their first goal was easily the biggest noise of the night.

I know that the game was 'meaningless' in the context of the season, but we're not a bandwagon club, and it would have been nice to have had another 5,000 or so Pies supporters there. I can't recall too many Collingwood home and away games with as little atmosphere as last night's game. Still, I felt warm and fuzzy by the end of it.

Cold night, not many wins these things bound to happen

- Geelong home game, have they a lot of country members/fans and Friday night games wouldn't be ideal for these people
- Cold night
- Our poor performance last week and uncertainty on how we'd come out in what was a dead rubber
- We have a lot of 3 game members
- A lot including myself only have a home membership and rarely attend away games
- our crowds have been down all year

At least some of our diehard supporters, including Joffa turned up.

Good onya Joff our number one barracker!!!

Joffa has not been to every game this year - Hi Hiss

Maybe he hasn't been in the cheersquad or couldn't make it due to his charity work but he's still our number one man!!!

Hi Hiss-what does this mean???

I did my part, there was a male cats supporter in the MCC wearing a pink shirt who will not easily forget last night.

If that was a Geelong home game ...

... How come we were wearing the black shorts? o_O

They predominately play in white shorts these days, has become their preferred home colour for some reason. Very rarely do you see Geelong in the dark blue shorts, wearing white to denote the away team has very little meaning now with all these clash strip variants.

Didn't you make a thread last week essentially implying you couldn't be ****ed with our last two games?

I don't think we should get bogged down by such fine details...
