Is the media seriously still banging on about Ollie leaving? He's got 2 years left FFS

And his mum liked a tweet.

Great news this morning with ex captain nathan van-illa joining the crows coaching group as midfield coach.

Apparently he's responsible for the success of the WCE midfield!!

****ing hel :)

******* hel :)

I could coach a midfield with NicNat, Kelly, Yeo, Shuey, Gaff and Sheed in it. Good luck achieving the same results with Matt Crouch, Rory Laird, a cooked Rory Sloane and a bunch of teenagers.

16 years ago today I was in Melbourne having breakfast somewhere in Southbank. Our choice was based on how many Port supporters were in the place compared to Lions supporters.

Was an awesome day and night, with much alcohol consumed. Ah to be 23 again 🤣

yes it was a great day. Beers before breakfast, then a lot more after. Was great to enjoy it with a mate, and our 14 yo daughters.

Got on Choppy for the Norm Smith.

He really has embraced crow-speak :tearsofjoy:

"learnings" and "going forward" are two bits of corporate wank that trigger me when used by management in my workplace.

Why can't they just use "lessons" and "in future" like my generation? :(

I had just turned 18. Went to the game not much of a beer drinker but the people I was with (Dad and his crowdwouldn’t allow me to drink anything different.

My first hangover was awaiting me.

By god was it worth it.

Would love to do that weekend all over again.

Ah them and their friends in high places.
I actually thought there was no way I could despise them any more than I do and then this.
What’s the bet he’ll be asking some favours for his buddies in the state for the franchise.

Mola Ram asked to become chairman of the Crows. Checks out.

Match made in heaven given his experience with corrupt institutions.

Olsen is 75 years old. You can see why the Camry Crows would see him as a good fit. He'd be completely in tune with the majority of their customers.

Looking forward to them announcing their new Motorola sponsorship.

To each their own, but I wouldn't be drinking to any level beyond moderation if I were watching us in a grand final. I'd want a clear head and clear memories.

Unless it was about 3/4 time, 2007.

Not getting smashed during the game. Definitely smashed after.

On the one hand I love the idea of John Olsen, the Premier forced to resign for misleading State Parliament over the Motorola affair, as President of the Adelaide Crows. His self entitled arrogance will divide the West Lakes mob in a way that Trigg could only dream of.

On the other hand, having worked closely with him many years ago, I know he has a knack for getting things done by whatever it takes. He will use every connection he has made in business and politics with ruthless efficiency to ensure the Crows get everything they want. And that includes 'stealing' a part of the public owned Adelaide Parklands for the Adelaide Crows new home base. Olsen will not be the lame duck President that Chapman was.

In my view Olsen will take politicking and deal making in SA AFL football to the next level. That can only be tragic news for Port Adelaide fans and those seeking transparency in how deals are done and how public money is allocated amongst the 2 AFL Clubs and the SANFL.
