I don't like Olsen becoming Crows chairman.

Not because i think he will do a good job, he won't.

But because he will maintain the cosy relationship between the Crows, the SMA and the SANFL.

We have very little hope of getting a better stadium deal any time soon now and no doubt will get screwed with our SANFL involvement.

We really needed a Cows chairman who was ready to cut the cord.

Sure he will try to use his mates to screw Port more than Adelaide, but in the end it will be a classic SANFL tier move of cutting off your nose to spite your face and both clubs will lose out.

They don't make those decisions. At best the crows work under the veneer of independence, but every appointment places the "right" person in every position. In other words, if a person is not going to make all decisions in the best interests of the SANFL they don't get the appointment.

lol, he unloaded his stake in the 36ers so there wouldn't be any question of a conflict of interest when he got the Camry Crows' chairman's job. Believing that a conflict of interest may disqualify him from a position on the Camry Crows' board shows that he is completely unsuitable for a position on the Camry Crows' board.

I think you find both the crows board and our board have something in common they both believe they deserve a better stadium deal.
Under the rules both clubs get the same deal so if Olsen wants to push for a better deal fine but I doubt he will unless his fellow board members grow a set and set him straight.
Also with 2021 still no certainty to have full crowds at stadiums I doubt there will be any movement with this at all.
If anything the Sma already being hit hard financially will see less dollars coming next year too.
Expect them to come out and cry poor soon enough.
