FFS - Crow numpties 'Port Culture' ... yea so what about Bock, Modra etc etc ... farken idiots - gave them a serve expect a ban!!!

... haha

I hope Jackson drags the offender through the courts like Matthew Jaensch did.

Except all signs are pointing to Jackson being a legit victim, instead of blaming everyone and everything else for his repeated legal troubles.

Geelong just keep on keeping on . People waiting for them to fall off the cliff but they don't. Since Blight got there in 1989 and then Frank Costa and then Brian Cook they have done so well both on and off the field. Nobody has won more games than them since 1989, no body has made more GF's and nobody has made more top 4's since 1994 when the AFL set up the top 8 and top 4 became so important.

Eagles can't fly at the MCG but they have no problems at other away grounds. The Arc mattsea has done some analysis during Simpson's reign.

In the past few years, since Adam Simpson took over as coach1, the Eagles have played 9 games at the MCG and won only 3 of them, a meagre 33.3% win rate. Meanwhile they’ve won 75.6% of their games at Subiaco.

All up, the Eagles have won 53% of their interstate games since 2014, just scraping into positive territory. Their record interstate is comparable to the Cats and Crows.

The difference between the Eagles’ win percentage in their home state (75.6%) and interstate (53%) is 22.6% – the third largest in the league, but not a million miles away from some other quality teams.

Port's small differential is due to maintaining a good away from home, better than our long run away average of 41% but dropping too many games at AO since we lost to the Eagles in Rd 6 of 2015. [Eagles are 2-0 against us and 2-1 against the crows at AO which is long and skinny like Subi]

As this covers from Rd 1 2014 ie start of AO and Ken's second year, our record in that period is;
* At AO we were 8-0, (inc the 2011 game before the redevelopment) before we lost the away showdown in Rd 15 of 2014 and went to 13-4 after winning the away showdown in Rd 3 2015. But then came that WCE game where they closed us down after half time and the scoreboard flattered us a bit with only a 10 pt loss. Since that game we have gone 11-13 at AO mainly due to a 2016 record of 4-8 to only have a 24-17 record at AO but a 22-17 record from Rd 1 2014 to R4 2017 as per the Arc's graph ie a 56.9% win-loss record at home.

* In our away games, our away record since R1 2014 to Rd 4 2017 is 18-16 ie 52.9% which gives the 3.5% differential as per The Arc's graph.

We have to get back to winning at least 2 out of every 3 games at AO and if we can maintain a 50%+ win-loss record on the road then we are approaching Top 4 status.
.

Sydney having a better winning percentage away than at home is mind blowing.

Its one of the reason why you have to admire their hard nosed contested footy style. It works away from home.

Anyone else think the levels of hatred and toxicity between us and the crows has reached an all time high recently? The bile being spewed from both sides of supporters recently is ridiculous.

Having the rub of the green in Showdowns for a couple of years has them up and about.

Both teams are up and about. Success brings the scumbags out of the woodwork.

Yeah there seems to be a bit of antagonising/retaliation thing going on. "Mate your supporters do the same thing so that makes it ok for us to do" All in the guise of "footy banter"

**** I hate the term "banter" basically an excuse to be a ****wit and get away with it.

I know a guy who boasts about going for 'whoever's winning' so that way it's always 'party time' for him as he puts it.

A grade scumbag too as it turns out.

Unfortunately both of our clubs have a few people that post on Big Footy that seem to thrive on it though.

Yep, Didn't wear my Port gear at work for casual day just to avoid any talk. Changed clothes once work finished. Everything just feels more personal these days. been crazy, yet alone any controversial decisions come playoffs. The NFL board on here can get toxic as well. Has kind of put me off forums in general. I'll watch the games but leave it at that.
Sports has always been a great match for twitter and the like, seems like the hate and bile that occupies that space has transferred over to the sports community

The fear of the other team actually being successful is what drives it.

Once you learn to accept that in an 18 team competition with equalization measures like the draft, at some point your rival is going to win the flag, all the stress just melts away. I made peace with Adelaide winning the premiership a long time ago. I always hope they'll lose, but I don't care if they win.

And there was an issue with one of their players that I am aware of through county footy contacts that has been kept very hush hush and out of the media. I just don't know how they do it.

How they do it is the media in this state is rife with crows members/ambassadors both official and unofficial.

If they win it we'll have no one to blame but ourselves because we didn't.

It always coincides with them winning. They start to believe the hype and think they can talk smack to everyone from their high horse and our supporter base, I'd say more than most, don't handle it well.

The only upside is the melts when they choke are epic...think KG losing his shite on air after loss to WCE in prelim.

Why is Lucifer Codge in the commentary box for this one? He can barely string a sentence together and frankly, I've got enough on my plate putting up with Basil.
Basil ****ing shits me, makes me genuinely salty. He is far and away the worst commentator, which says a lot given the absolute crap we have to put up with already. Does he have connections or something? How the **** does he have a job?
