Forgot that. Poor bastard died of lung cancer due to smoking. Was only about 53 when he passed away a couple of months after retiring from politics.

With the struggling Blues expected to play an early role in the 2017 national draft and the AFL still debating the introduction of the trading of live picks during this year's event, Silvagni is spending the week with the Minnesota Vikings in the lead-up to Friday's opening day of the American football draft.

Silvagni and the Blues are looking to gain an edge on their rivals as the AFL is certain to further reform the national draft in coming seasons, although it has yet to reach an agreement for this year's draft with the AFL Players Association as it remains in dispute with the players over their wage demands.The league's player movement group, which includes the AFL's Andrew Dillon and Ken Wood along with key club representatives Scott Clayton, Ameet Bains and Graham Wright, has progressed talks on the live trade picks prospect but could delay the introduction until next year......

Do you think there would be much trading of live picks year to year? Can see it being used more if they bring in the ability to trade players without getting the players ok as well as picks.

Do you think there would be much trading of live picks year to year? Can see it being used more if they bring in the ability to trade players without getting the players ok as well as picks.

No real idea as the US system they can trade players without them agreeing to the trade so I guess it depends if clubs struggle to get trades done during trade week.
