Every time I see Jim Bacon I'm reminded that he had a wife called Honey.

Amazing.
Forgot that. Poor bastard died of lung cancer due to smoking. Was only about 53 when he passed away a couple of months after retiring from politics.

So are we going to keep up if this is a thing or just sit back and see how it all unfolds maybe in 2017 but probably not until 2018.

Carlton on a mission to the US to learn live draft strategy
Carlton have sent their list boss Stephen Silvagni to the United States to immerse himself in the brave new world of live trades in the NFL national draft. With the struggling Blues expected to play an early role in the 2017 national draft and the AFL still debating the introduction of the trading of live picks during this year's event, Silvagni is spending the week with the Minnesota Vikings in the lead-up to Friday's opening day of the American football draft.

Silvagni and the Blues are looking to gain an edge on their rivals as the AFL is certain to further reform the national draft in coming seasons, although it has yet to reach an agreement for this year's draft with the AFL Players Association as it remains in dispute with the players over their wage demands. The league's player movement group, which includes the AFL's Andrew Dillon and Ken Wood along with key club representatives Scott Clayton, Ameet Bains and Graham Wright, has progressed talks on the live trade picks prospect but could delay the introduction until next year......

Would hope or perhaps trust, Chris Davies is reasonably advanced in at least planning for this outcome.

I really liked the movie Draft Day. Could be fun.

Do you think there would be much trading of live picks year to year? Can see it being used more if they bring in the ability to trade players without getting the players ok as well as picks.

Channel 7 victorian commentary team at it already... They obviously haven't watched too much footy this season with that deliberate call.

No real idea as the US system they can trade players without them agreeing to the trade so I guess it depends if clubs struggle to get trades done during trade week.

That is one ugly guernsey for GW$, what does that 'plus' sign next to the G mean?

It's the symbol for having extra in the salary cap.

Don't ever want to play a night game in Canberra. Too much dew.

Gws in bighead mode at the minute, first 5 minutes too easy, made some horrible soft option / mistakes since.
