Doubt that anyone is keen (nor am I), but it has been confirmed that Adelaide Oval will be hosting the crap, Hybrid sport known as International Mules on November 12 (only 3 weeks before the all-important Ashes). IMO a famous, traditional sports venue like AO should NOT be hosting a non-traditional Mickey Mouse event!!!

Battle it out for glory, what glory?!? Hope there will be a massive brawl between them ala 2006 (which nearly resulted in the death of that hybrid game). I wouldn't go even if someone paid me

It's so cool to hang shit on the International Rules series.

It goes ok. I'm not saying it's a must watch event, but the crowds show, the players seem to enjoy it and the spectacle is worthy of some interest particularly in the time of the off-season.

I'm a casual follower of Gaelic Football and I have been to one IRS game at Footy Park many years ago. Will probably go to this one as I find it entertaining. I get that some people don't though and have no interest in it but having a hissy fit because it is going to be played at AO weeks before some dull cricket match

Be the most undeserving team ever but could happen!

If Geelong lost all three (Richmond, Collingwood, GWS - possible) and both Sydney and the Bulldogs dropped at least one game (Sydney v Crows, Bulldogs v GWS/Hawthorn), we could actually finish 4th just by beating Collingwood and GC. Did lol.

Agreed 100%. I will be there because quite frankly I just enjoy going to shit and have no feelings either good or bad towards it. Should be decent enough entertainment to enjoy another day out at the "footy".

Can richmond overcome their bogey side and their overall richmond-ness to beat a weakened cats side without duckwood, porky and Duncan? Can clangerfield bravely carry them on his back AGAIN? Who will get reported? Will they try to rile up dusty?

Richmond won three straight in 1998, 1999 and 2000 and have only won one since.

I thought our record against Norf was bad.

I'd like to hear him say he wishes he had the balls to challenge Turd at the time, that with the benefit of hindsight he thinks a captain needs to be more than just a whip cracker and... bleeding pin cushion for whatever the coach(es) are dispensing. Maintain discipline in front of the group by all means, but be a fully conscious "part of the processes" behind the scenes. Ah but some smarmy lawyer might suggest that could be accepting of some culpability.

"All it would have taken" to paraphrase their slogan of the time, was a deceptively simply worded question from Jobe about how he could inform himself of what they were being injected with at such an unusually high cadence. And if the response came back "never you mind", or "that's a trade secret", or "the Doc says it's all OK", or some such other obvious weasel wordings, let alone the complete and utter giveaway of "the same secret sauce we think the Cats and Pies were on, nudge nudge, wink wink, ask no more" well then you've got a $%&ing duty as captain, don't you?
