What a bullshit standard of football tonight and last night. Gilligan and his AFL excutives should be forced to watch this on the outer wing no bloody corporate facilities and can't leave early. Trying to force this shit on us at the most exciting time of the season.

This game needs the skill and athleticsm of Erin Phillips. Where is Spaghetti Marinoff to add some class to the game. A few Allies players have been in a good paddock since the AFLW has finished. Obviously playing at their lcoal clubs the training hasn't been as elite. Watching 12 minutes in the last quarter was all I could stomach.

I watched the first quarter and decided to watch our 2007 QF against WCE which I had recorded.

Well Gill announced that it was happening and then it didn't, so I can only presume that Eddiewood said no to it.

*sigh* I hate having to explain jokes.

Ah I thought you might've been referring to an actual event. I hadn't heard or read anything since the announcement and had almost forgotten about it until people on here starting griping about the lack of footy this weekend. So I was genuinely interested in what happened as it seems to have suffered a very quiet death.

I get what you mean, although I can quite easily picture the Presidents of the 10 clubs quietly telling Gill it wouldn't be a very good idea to pursue it. I mean how many top players would be giving it their best, along with clubs not wanting the potential injuries for a nothing competition.

Imagine the fallout if a key player for a club, i.e. Rockcliff copped a long term injury in the 'Carnival of Derp' (great name for it BTW). The Brions are f**ked before their season even starts.

Yeah it's easy to see the argument against. I certainly wouldn't want us to take part in it and risk anyone apart from potential delistees. I guess it could give them one last chance to show people what they've got and perhaps get a lifeline somewhere.

You'd think that the AFL would've got everyone on board first before setting sail though. They're just so bloody incompetent.

Hey what happened to the AFLX Carnival of Derp? I thought it was slated for this weekend.

They still had the Carnival of Derp, just without the AFLX concept.

Compliments to Chris Scott on talking down the chances of Ablett making it back to Geelong.

More professional bit of negotiating than when Hinkley went on radio and conceded a starting point for the Dixon (or was it Ryder?) negotiations.

It shouldn't be on my television but still
They lost my support for the event the year they dropped Port because we weren't profitable enough.

Well unless the twelve people in attendance today paid $1,000 each for their ticket it seems that the alternative isn't too profitable either.

They killed the goose.
