24 games in 5 seasons. From vague recollection he used to get injured a lot. May have been why he pursued journalism a media career instead. He's well connected in Perth society - his uncle Con used to be the Chief Stipendiary Magistrate. I wouldn't be surprised if the society connections extended to Kerry Stokes.

And Griffin added Adelaide hasn’t been told whether the club will have access to its regular pre-game training session at Hindmarsh the day before facing the Mariners.

Griffin has called for the State Government to intervene.

Who is responsible for running the stadium? AFL has nothing to do with any lack of communication with the FFA or AUFC. The league has simply rented the venue.

I don't mind it. So long as players like Wingard, Boak and Ryder aren't playing it. Problem is, if we wheel out nobodies - no one will care about the already tenuous series.

It definitely needs something more to it. Maybe a tri-series or something. Is there even any benefit to winning it?

While both had their footy careers cut short by injury, I suspect Fitzy got his start in media through his footy ability and personality (whether or not that's your cup of tea), whereas BaZ got his starts in footy and media through his family connections. Was Fitzy also 'well connected'?
