lol David Teague. My only real memory of him as a player was getting schooled by Tredrea in 2004 and having 4 goals kicked on him in a quarter.

I tipped Richmond by 51. Maybe if they'd kicked straighter.
Tipped them by 33(portadelaidetipping) and 40(Superbru). It was a bit like our first ever win in the AFL where we beat Geelong by 39 points and the difference was 4.15. Although we didn't have a really bad quarter like Richmond's second(2.7). Quarter scores were 3.5, 5.6, 5.6 and 5.4. And unlike Richmond we lost the last quarter, even if it was only by 10 points.

Tipped Tigers by 30, didn't think the afl would allow a blow out to start the season especially no matter how good richmond actually are.

Ah well, next up tomorrow night, the who cares cup.

Anyone else think Curnow has been more right place, right time, with good luck, than dominant and crafty on good way to five goals?

Two of his goals came from those bullshit protected zone 50’s.

My only memory of him was him getting booed every time he touched the footy at AAMI Stadium because he looked similar to Nick Stevens.

Look quick lesson because everyone is so quick to pick everyone up but not actually teach them what is wrong:

there = place or position... eg why doesn't he kick it over there?
their = they own ... eg. their tickets were invalid ...
they're = they are eg they're complete f***silly people they barrack for the Crows.

English-learning Brazilians usually pronounce all three differently: there, like in "bear;" their, like in "prayer;" and they're, like in "they are." So, we only start getting wrong inasmuch we IMPROVE our skills.

I blame the internet...

You wrote 6 words there, and I pronounce all of them the same way.

Let me try again:

There - "care, pair"

Their - "mayor" (or "crayon," but with a 'r' replacing the 'n')

They're - "pay R"

Had no idea David Teague had left the crows and is now at Richmond. I either completely missed it or it was kept very low key as far as media exposure goes.

As low key as the time he crashed his mate's car into a parked car(!) and turned the sleeping woman inside it(!!) into a quadriplegic(!!!)

Richmond had a bad game in front of goals, but still come up with the goods....

Carlton are a big improver, need to clean up there forward entries, Casbalt had to moved up the ground to get some touches. Reminded me of Charlie Dixon with our set up in 2017. Carlton are going to be handful this year and then harder the next year.

Macintosh for Ricmond, BOG for me.... he is their Jeromy Cameron type of player.

As low key as him being an actual B&F winner at Carlton, which on reflection makes perfect sense.

Every preseason I somehow forget how bad in general the umpiring is in AFL, then it hits me in the face in round 1.

You obviously didn’t watch JLT1

You're right enough with that. Even those of us from the old school get tricked into using the wrong word from time to time. And auto-correct is no help because it'll only correct something that is not a word at all, not an incorrectly-used word.

They're - "pay R"

All there (their, they're) s are SUPPOSED to be pronounced the same. (As are the words you substituted).

Having said that, in Wenglish words like - ear, hear, here and year are all pronounced the same (yur).
