We need melb to win.
I don't care what people think of my opinion, but right now I want us to fall out of the 8.

We don't deserve to be in the 8, and if we scrape in it'll just be wallpaper over the cracks, and I'd rather the disastrous collapse happen, and our club realise big change must be made. Far better than us sneak into the 8, our year be considered a 'Pass' and Ken use the old "oh we lost 4 games by under 10" line during preseason so we only have to get a little better.

And people really want us to play finals?

I think any 8th place finish and achieving nothing in finals will mean nothing to me and other supporters but I still can’t bring myself to want port to lose.

Yah, sneak into the 8 for an away elimination final, when 6 weeks ago we were in the box seat for top two and a home prelim.

I'd almost prefer an away elim final, especially if it's at the MCG. We seem to do better without the extra pressure of performing at home. We wouldn't get Etihad surely?

Gee you have changed but so have I, I guess.
I’ve always maintained our best is good enough, it’s iur ability to play that way (becouse of coaching) that is our problem and holding us back.

How we respond to Dixon and Ryder going down tells us a lot about this group. Beat Collingwood next week without those two and our season is still alive.

I don't want us to lose. I just don't want us to 'fall' in. I want us to win our next 2 and EARN our spot.

We can get into the finals after today's results without even winning again. For me that's a huge concern.

But if Sydney win, we must win at least 1, if not 2. Meaning we will actually deserve to be there, if we get there.

The reality is I know we are not good enough to win the next 2, hell we will be lucky to win one, and as such I'm very happy to say that if we miss the 8, I'll be happy it might just wake this club up.

The real question is why aren’t they ever paid to us ?

I'm beginning to wonder if it's because our colours somehow impact umpires' ability to see infringements. Would like to see research into this in the off season, and perhaps a switch back to, say, magenta stripes :D

It’s because our financials don’t attract the AFL.

It wouldn't surprise me, actually. They'll probably give West Coast a Thursday night game, Richmond the Friday night game at the 'G, and then their preference is probably 2 Saturday games - if both are Vic teams one would have to be at Etihad and we would end up with that one.

Or we'll end up finishing 7th and playing a 6th placed Geelong at Kardinia.

Sydney’s percentage is closer to ours, we have a chance to get over them. Melbs percentage is ballistic no matter what happens from here we will never get over them on percentage

Malbun are like us last year - flat track the lower table sides, no good against top eight, inexplicable losses, end up with the second best % but not worthy of a top 4 finish. If they lose today they've got WCE away and GWS at home to come, so if we can manage one more win we might finish above them :p
