I don't care what people think of my opinion, but right now I want us to fall out of the 8.

We don't deserve to be in the 8, and if we scrape in it'll just be wallpaper over the cracks, and I'd rather the disastrous collapse happen, and our club realise big change must be made. Far better than us sneak into the 8, our year be considered a 'Pass' and Ken use the old "oh we lost 4 games by under 10" line during preseason so we only have to get a little better.

This was all well and good last year but we're stuck now. Ken isn't getting sacked with three years on his contract if we finish 9th. Voss has already been extended. Nothing is changing, so we may as well at least make finals.

What Ken doesn't seem to understand, or doesn't want to understand, is that we have to learn to win those games, not try to just defend a lead in those games.

If you hold out any hope for our season (not saying you necessarily should) then it is definitely better for us if Sydney to win today.

Melbourne's percentage is like an extra win over us. Only way to trump them is if we win last 2 and they only win one of last 3, or if we win one and they win none. They have two very tough games after this (WCE in Perth and GWS) so that is feasible if they drop today.

Sydney's percentage is in our ballpark, so being equal on points to them does not necessarily mean they will trump us. If they win today, then we either need to win one and they lose both (and assume the necessary percentage shift happens due to those results) or win both and hope they drop one. They have GWS and Hawks, so again, very feasible.

To trump Geelong, we just need to win our last two, as they will almost certainly win their last two handsomely.

To trump Collingwood, we need to beat them well next week, beat Bombers and then hope Freo don't get smashed too hard by the Pies in rd 23.

The toughest one will be to trump Hawks. We need to win our two, hope that Saints don't get flogged by Hawks and that Sydney beat them in rd 23.

There's 3 teams we have no chance of catching: Richmond, WC, GWS.

For the rest, if we win our last two and results go our way, we can still snatch 4th.

(EDIT: we could overtake GWS if they lose their last two, but means Melbourne and Sydney beating them, so let's not consider that unlikely turn of events! EDIT EDIT: In fact, it means we can finish 3rd! But we would have to flog Collingwood and Bombers-- something so unfeasible with our gameplan that I consider it impossible).

Hannebery is so cooked it’s not funny

That handball turnover before under pretty average pressure where he couldn’t even keep his feet executing a 2 metre handpass that didn’t have the power to do anything other than drop into the hands of any of the 3 opposition players he should have handpassed over was the worst thing I’ve seen in ages. Which as a port supporter is saying something

What a sad decline

Anyone that wants to take him and his massive contract off Sydney’s hands needs to be slapped

Just so can feel better today are the scum across the road no chance of finals ? Say yes even if you have to lie !!

Have friends back in the SE who are crow fans (never been members) who's only mantra is, "So long as we finish in front of Port"

Been very quiet from that front so a quiet smile from self will satisfy.

I think they need to win both games, hope about 10 results go their way and make up 8 percentage points.
Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

Impossible

They would need to win both remaining games by 70+ , and everyone else to lose every game by 50points and they still only snake into 9th according to ladder predictor.

Adelaide can get in if...
- they win both games (vs North Melbourne and Carlton) by absolutely huge margins
- Port (v Collingwood and Essendon), Sydney (v Melbourne today, GWS, Hawks), Geelong (v Fremantle, GC) lose all their games
- Essendon beat Port by just a little bit

In doing so we end up 7th though

If they beat both North at AO and Carlton at Etihad by 70 points each, Geelong lose to Freo and the Suns at the Cattery, Sydney lose this game(which they lead by 22) and the next two and North Melbourne lose to the Saints in the last round then they will make finals by 0.3 percent. Expect the cowvertiser to go with this.

What is this with teams wearing jumpers made from Fry's Turkish Delight wrappers? Hasn't been very successful either, first the Hawks lost to Brisbane in Tassie wearing a jumper like that and now Melbourne 28 points down at the MCG. Although it could be just that Melbourne aren't any good against top 8 teams, that was suggested before this game started.

The Crows can make it (by hammering teams), but only if we do as well and the Swans lose today. 6ABBFE50-78FE-440F-9630-2FDFFF9B9C42.png

lol, as if that'll ever happen

Swans up by 28 at 3QT. Crows season nearly completely finished beyond all doubt.
