Seriously needs to get to a point where SA & WA clubs get first dibs on the respective talent pools in their states, it's not 1985 the split on draftees from heartland states vs expansion states outside of Victoria has dropped dramatically.

The AFL has destroyed it. Back in the day the SANFL and the WAFL produced players. Great footballers. Mature footballers. Playing in proper leagues. Now, if you don't produce in the Under 18s you are 95% on the scrap heap. The SANFL, now they know it really doesn't matter anymore, has given up on player development. We just don't produce great players anymore. The system sucks shit.
