Liam Ryan confusing ambitions and abilities and burning his team mates badly. Should get his selfish ass kicked by his coach at the break.

They still won the cup

Nowhere near the conversation for worse performing team to expectations.

The key word is expectations when you’re talking about underperforming.

People were widely discussing Melbourne becoming a dynasty, at worst they were expecting melb to be hard to beat contenders for the next few years. They fell wildly short of that mark.

Now, port fans expected much better than what we’ve gotten the last few years, but any port fan who think the general public expected greatness from our teams is living in a bubble.

The general public was never convinced we were anything beyond also rans at best, and that proved true.

Big ask to beat the might of Geelong.
But the coasters are having a real crack.

How is it that the worst team in the league, missing their two best players, is taking on the Cats at home, yet choosing not to spread their bumcheeks?

Curious.

North were 3 points down against Collingwood 5 minutes into the last qtr.

Dunno how it ended up being a 45 point margin, was busy watching our shitkunts play

It’s almost as if it’s less a personnel problem, and more a mettle, tactics and general desire to do anything above and beyond merely collect a paycheque problem.

Cameron is a freak
Ginbey did a great job on him in the first 3/4s, Kept him to 5 kicks and 1.0, then Cameron hits the go button and just dominates in the last quarter.

You want beat Geelong in a final, you have to stop/heavily restrict Cameron in the forward line, Dangerfield when he comes back, and Smith and Holmes in the middle.

Gibney played a solid game. But Jezza got of the hook in the last qtr.Almost got another with the 75m barrel/torpedo
Liam Baker is the next Eagles captain. Was fantastic tonight.

Geelong showed up half switched on, cranked up the generator for 15 minutes in the last quarter and won by 43, As usual Cameron lit up in that time for a lazy 4 goals.

Ball was coming into an open forward line in the last ten minutes.
WC had switched off in the midfield, so Ginbey on a hiding to nothing.
Ginbey started impacting up around centre wing a bit in the last, so a couple of times a WC turnover left him stranded.

We know the general public and even our own have been victim to propaganda and gaslighting about how average the lists and players have been in Ken's entire reign.

Third round that I have done the age and games experience stats.

The 2 WA clubs were the youngest and least experienced sides this round. Essendon with their injures was almost as young, Goldstein's 330+ games help their average a bit and Richmond are also young and relatively inexperienced.

3 of the youngest teams won this week, Freo 11 months younger, Adelaide 4 months and St Kilda 5 months.
