So under Demi we used to get superannuated 70s/80s rock acts, under Dill we get superannuated 90s/00s rappers.

Dillon gave us Katy Perry last year - his first year in charge.

I assume the AFL does whatever Mushroom/ Frontier / Matt Gudinski says, and who they can get for the GF.

Well that's what happened when Michael Gudinski was still running things. He did convince the AFL to put a young Ed Sheeran on before he was a star, back in 2014 and also had Tom Jones join him as a double act, as Frontier were promoting Jones' 2014 tour of Oz. Then they go to Mike Brady for Up their Cazaly. After Meatloaf in 2011, they went with Aussie acts in 2012 and 2013.

Angry was half time - Meat Loaf pre game.

I don't remember when the AFL flipped from half time to pre game entertainment, but the 2004 and 2007 GF's were pregame. 2004 I remember the Ten Tenors and a pathetic act by Kath and Kim and 2007 was Jet.

Good laugh. He did one song at 2022 half time Super Bowl half time act - then lots of other acts took over - then he joined them for the last song.

The Super Bowl half time show has turned to shit. Its been about 15 years since you have had 1 band on and do 4 or 5 songs in their allocated 13 minutes or so. Its now multiple acts doing 10 songs or a main singer with one or two others and they do 10 x 1 minute grabs of 10 greatest hits and sometime, songs that they never recorded.

Entertainers don't get paid to do the Super Bowl, its a big free ad for them, so the NFL invite them but only pay for some production costs, not a performance fee, so they now try and belt out their greatest hits. AFL pay their main acts at least $1 million and Katy Perry got paid $5 million last year, but she put on a bit of a production with lots of dancers and stuff that you got from her normal show.
