How Russell wasn't elevated well before he passed is a disgrace it would've been great for the family to have that night with him.

Honours like that are only bestowed on people who shout "Don't think do" and other Shakespearian pearls of wisdom.

The stadium has bipartisan support, so if there is an incoming Labor government they will support it.

But all contracts are in limbo now.

I can't see that stopping the yearly homesickness he shows in October/September

Imagine being the club that has to consider taking on that contract when he starts flirting again.

Glad Ken Farmer finally got elevated, but like with Russ it's a ****ing disgrace that there had to be more than 30 of them before he got the nod. 1417 goals you Victorian pieces of shit.

That's the big 3 players and one of the big 2 coaches from the SANFL elevated to Legend status, the only one left who is a glaring omission is Jack. They'll probably wait for him to die like they did with Russ though, gotta make sure Dunstall gets elevated in his 50s first.

Not a single South Australian was inaugurated as a ‘Legend’ when the Australian Football Hall Of Fame opened in 1996.

Barrie Robran was the first to be elevated in 2001.

Absolutely hilarious stuff.

Australian Michael Dickson has become the NFL’s highest-paid punter after re-signing with the Seattle Seahawks on a $25.68 million four-year deal. The 29-year-old Swans academy product first signed with the Seahawks in 2018, and had previously held the title of the league’s highest-earning punter when he extended with the club back in 2021.

Did one of these invent public holiday football, Collingwood, Indigenous Australians and the MCG all by himself?

Some Victorian clubs are getting cold feet on bids this year for Harley Reid given the vast bounty they would have to give up and his likely astronomical wage.
For Reid to move back this year and break his contract he would need to be paid at least $1.8 million a season on a long-term deal.
