Port should realistically be 2nd with 12 or 13 wins. They lost 4 to 5 games that should of been won. Essendon, Saints, Crows, Geelong at home, Sydney at home and Freo away seeing as Port normally play Optus strong and play better against Freo.

unfortunately injuries since season start made positions fielding and structure struggle. Rozee playing the main midfield at start still playing strong but being tagged out. Hornet out for some and no butters plus backline injuries and structure since round 1 with Esava and BZT. That and no Todd or Luko. if they literally had a healthy side with Butters Hornet Sav BZT Luko and yes, Toddy from round 1 they'd be top 4 easily and I honestly reckon they would of beat the pies round 1.

Crows don’t even look like getting any injuries - full squad, fit and actually bought in some winning coaches to help Nicks (something we refused to do when we had the chance - relying on Flaky Ken in finals pressure).

As much as I dislike the crows - they are being run very very well at the moment. Managed in a way that seems very foreign to us at Port. Putting all our eggs in Kenny basket may not have been the best idea after all🤔

He's right you guys. If we had simply won all those games we lost.. well who knows where we'd be

If we'd won all our games we'd be top of the ladder. Where are the Hinkley haters now?

Now I understand why North supporters spend so much time death-riding JHF ... when they do look at their own club ☠️

  • Wardlaw is not turning about to be the player they expected, possibly forced to retire early due to concussion
  • Sheezel is a nice player, but is incapable of winning them games
  • LDU hoodwinked them into a 1.5 million dollar a year contract and now turns in pea hearted performances
  • They traded their 1st round pick this year (pick 3) for Whitlock (pick 27)
  • Should i keep going?

Might be a few floggings next round (not just us) - every game is between a top 9 team versus a bottom 9 team.
You know the amazing thing is you take the top 9 teams and generally they beat the bottom 9 teams. But when you take the games the top 9 teams play against each other, its 50% wins and 50% losses. Incredible and just shows how tight this season is.

Funnily enough the big what if/shoulda coulda for this season is what would have happened if we had gotten rid of Hinkley at the end of last season and had Carr coaching this year with some real energy about the place. Would we be top 8? Who knows, but we certainly wouldn't have been writing off the season before round 1.

You would probably tip that poor guy over the edge.

A few years ago Adelaide were worse than North. Now Adelaide could finish top 4 and North are still in an existential crisis.

I remember the belting we copped for a couple of bad years (where we still didn't finish bottom). People (including in SA) wanted to sink us like a coral reef sanctuary ship. But North, no it's all good, have to keep our quota of Victorian clubs.

Jane Lomax-Smith gives the crows a little clip in her op-ed piece in In Daily

Likewise with the proposal to park the Adelaide Crows headquarters in the Park Lands, the AFL club withdrew plans at a time of majority support from elected members.

I’d be the first to say they didn’t get an easy run in the public arena and nor should they have.

They wanted to build on public land. They were in fact scuttled by public debate and public pressure (entitlement, it seems, does not like attention).

But Bruce is right about this bit Jane didn't like.

Our plucky young ‘hero’ claims the Council kills development, underfunds Park Lands, and lacks any real vision.

All fault obviously lies with the 19 year old lad in his second year and is totally unrelated to anything Norf has done. So it's fair for the supporters to go hard at the kid.
