Doesn’t elaborate much on cause of death so that normally means an overdose or he popped himself.
Either way a sad ending to someone so young
No. it didn't.
But whenever an article finishes off with the line:

"If you need help in a crisis, call Lifeline on 13 11 14. For further information about depression contact beyondblue on 1300 224 636 or talk to your GP, local health professional or someone you trust."

It's probably not a heart attack.
Sad.

Yep that’s how the papers say it without saying it.
23 years old ,what could have been so bad to come to this 😔

It’s the silent pandemic. It’s a taboo.

Ive had a nephew and niece take their lives at around the same age. ( not the same parents )
Some kids brains take longer to mature than others and cant handle certain burdens life throws at them. Theres obviously lots more to it.

Mate when I was growing up as a teen the only people you heard about taking there’s life’s was ones with terminal cancer and things like that.
At 23 I was having to much fun to even think about something as crazy as that. Life growing up then was fun with all the people I knew just wanted to enjoy life and the dope smokers just wanted to chill out and forget about everything.
You didn’t even have to have much money to have a good time.
The world has just changed for the worst as this sort of thing is an everyday occurrence with young people.
We hear about people like Spicer because he played for a AFL team but you don’t hear about the non reported thousands that die every year.

It is, and should be talked about way more often than it is.

It’s not talked about for many reasons. In part, it’s because there are elements involved which are also taboo.

I think its hard to underestimate the role that stuff like technology and social media plays and the added pressure it builds on kids. Not saying this was related to Spicer, but just more generally.

Suicides have always been there, we just talk about it more now.

Not amongst kids and teens growing up in my days.
Remember this is the days before the net.
You got 12 year old girls committing murder these days.
The world is fk’d up especially western culture.

Suicide and mental illness was a massive thing when I was in high school in the 90s. Social media wasn't around then and only nerds were on the internet

Spot on there was no phones or net when I was growing up. You had to get out the house and do things for fun.
We had and oval next to our place.
Every night after school we would play footy or cricket till it got dark and we had to go inside.
Only reason for ovals now is for people to take there dogs to shit on them.
