Why? Mackers has been running the program for the last 3 or 4 months.
I’m not sure if I’m remembering correctly but I feel like we coped loads of injuries the year he left, then Melbourne had the same and now the Crows. There is possibly a reason for his short stints.

Would like to get the data to see if it’s more than ‘vibes’.

The vibe with Burgess is that he puts clubs in the perfect position to contend for a flag

I don't recall Melbourne having high soft tissue issues after he left, pretty much straight after they won the flag.

Collision injuries have nothing to do with the fitness staff. Melbourne finished 2nd in 2022 then went out in straight sets.

Welp that answers my question, I didn’t remember correctly.

Melbourne were flying in early in 2022, 10 and 0 and then fizzled out after that, they still qualified 2nd for finals but they appeared to be running on fumes by that point. not sure about injuries but they definitely seemed to run out of gas and were a shell of the team from late 2021 and early 2022.

That's right 10-0, then Stephen May and Jake Melksham have that punch up at a restaurant and they go 6-6 and out in straight sets.

Not sad about Peatling. Ducking piece of garbage

Saw a tweet today suggesting he might've done it playing cricket earlier in the week - maybe while ducking a short lifting delivery?

Crows decided not to gamble with the young guys health over this issue. And so they should. You have to play your cards right in a situation like this involving an employees health, play the percentages.

Some say it's the luck of the draw when these things happen and you can only ride your luck so far. Came down to the wire on this call obviously but now all bets are off this close to the season and with a heart issue that is persisting.
As someone who lives with both the accelerated heartbeat and the arrhythmia condition, and haven’t gone down the “electric shock to microburn a nerve in the heart muscle” route but cope with medication,
Have been told with the majority of people there’s no external trigger and if you’re healthy there’s no real risk of permanent damage.
In fact elite fitness is one of the correlations (not causal factor). Luckily I don’t have to worry about being elite!

Sounds like Jake is one of the unlucky ones that there’s a trigger they can’t isolate.

To be fair, it could've been a Yorker and he still would be ducking.

GC ask Sydney's permission for their preseason strip?
Actually have had to correct my own thinking several times watching this as I thought it was Sydney.

The ruck rule is so shit.

And lol the umpires didn't want to bounce anymore but cant throw it up for shot

I absolutely hate this obsession with jumping rucks. They push further and further towards it and for what? What are we trying to achieve? What was wrong with a big strong beautiful man simply holding his opponent out of the way with one arm while he tapped it to Josh Francou?
