Overall so far this season we just havent clicked yet.
Adelaide - we should have won but played uncommitted football, yet just lost.
Melbourne - played a very poor first half and won by nearly 10 goals.
Geelong - we couldnt kick straight, didnt lose by much against arguably the best team going round.
Although the umpiring has been completely confusing and downright crap at times - the players cant let it get to them. They must accept the fact that no one can understand why these decisions are being made and that the decisions made at times depend on the player who is "infringed" or who "commits the same offence". Perfect example were the free kicks that weren't paid against Judd (holding) and fevola (pushing/ hands in back) last night against Essendon. If someone had done the same to them they would have been paid - NO DOUBT.
Everytime a Collingwood player hangs his head or complains to the umpires the rest of the team hang their heads also - it puts everyones head in the past... not the future. Just accept the decision and move on (like true sportsman). Pretend as if the decision doesnt affect the outcome of the game... and it wont. Negative energy is contagious... so is positive energy. Too much f***ing whinging is going on, start focasing on the job at hand, not how confused the umpires are with how they're supposed to umpire the game. If we play like everything was meant to happen - the umpires will stop being so critical of what we are doing and the players will start thinking about the prize (4 points) not why a decision (in the past) went against us.
When this happens - we will become that team that smashed Geelong last year again.
