Listen from 36 minute mark on the Crows
Listen from 55 minute 15 sec mark for discussion on Troy Menzel

The comment on Vardy is in the segment somewhere??

Nobody questions he has plenty of talent, everybody questions his fragility!!

If Jenkins was to leave Cloke could be worth a look as a stop gap while others develop and if he can get back to anywhere near his best could provide us with more contested pack marks

Thought I heard them say on fox he's on 500k and his deal I think expires the end of next year
You could be right but $800K P.A. was the reported figure in 2012 when he signed on for 5 years, maybe it was front ended?

If he is on 800k I'd still take him if Collingwood agreed to pay part of his salary and the trade cost us was someone like CEY

Mods !!!!! ........red card please !

Wouldn't be against Vardy if JJ was to go and he came cheaply.

Would fill the FF/Ruck role rather well or at least provide some more depth in an area that we're pretty lacking - Dear, maybe O'Brien and that's about it.

Essendon to get no free agency compensation pick if Michael Hurley decides to leave the Bombers

ESSENDON would receive no free agency compensation pick if Michael Hurley walked out to one of a growing list of AFL suitors.

The All-Australian centre half-back remains unwilling to commit to the Bombers.

The collective bargaining agreement states if a player can prove a breach of contract their club has not been able to remedy, they are able to terminate their contract.

The club must then immediately terminate their contract, allowing them to move to their club of choice as a delisted free agent.

v1

The player could prove that breach either through the AFL’s grievance tribunal or through a court of law.

Clubs including the Western Bulldogs, Adelaide and North Melbourne are believed to be monitoring his situation with interest.

The 26-year-old seems genuinely torn between his love of Essendon and his frustration their conduct left him sidelined in the peak of his career.

What's with all the Jenkins negativity on this page? Did I miss something? Relax people, he would have to be a LEGENDARY MORON to leave the Crows on their current trajectory.

On Hurley, it appears we are still keen. Whilst I have always felt we were a big player in that conversation, I seriously question whether we need him anymore, due to the improvement of our current backline. Still, if he came for free as a delisted player, how could you say no?

What is Prestia's situation?
I could be wrong, but I thought I heard he put of contract talks until end of year (or was that Coniglio?).

If it didn't cost us picks, I'd be happy to pick up Hurley.

We'd probably then have an obligation to trade out Hartigan, as he deserves to be playing.

I guess that nets us a second round pick or a player.

Then, I'd be pondering whether we can get this year's second back from GWS plus Steele, by packaging things up.

Realistically, Steele may not be a big enough bump for our mids. We'd maybe need to be looking elsewhere.

Does Hartigan and a pick get us Brayshaw?

The 2015 AA CHB for nothing other than cap space?

Yes, yes we do need that.

can play forward as well ....so would cover off the need for a KPF and allow us to focus on a mid in the draft

Hurley could be CHF if Jenkins goes? Need Harto still then, or the old lever on the ball or free him up floating a kick behind play

Hartigan and our first for Brayshaw?
