people keep mentioning pick 9, how far can that drop? If Brisbane and Carlton receive compensation picks, and any team between them and Geelong drop a high end free agent cant pick 9 all a sudden be pick 12 ???

They arent getting priority picks... surely they shouldnt get 1st rounders as compo

Kruezer has signed. Leuenberger is probably an end of first round pick based on his next salary. The most it can move is 1 down and even that is doubtful.

First of all - no priority picks. Announced today. Only chance is if L'berger leaves lions and the AFl magically decides he's worth pick 3 (like come on FFS, he has to be an end of first rounder at best). Then all picks will go down one. So pick 9 would become pick 10.. We've had good success with that pick!!

Secondly how is Murdoch dreaming? He's not an A grader. He's a good player in my view (solid B grader, in the Douglas mould). Anyone questioning people bringing his name really need to have their heads examined.

good to know that pick 9 cant slip too far, I think we are best to seek other clubs as besides the top end untouchables at Geelong their list is very thin and no player or picks are jumping out as anything decent compensation

They can, they just can't trade two future picks from the same future draft, was explained to me about 150 pages ago

Actually, from this, I read it as a choice between able to trade either:
* the 1st pick, or
* any/all of the remaining picks (2nd, 3rd, ...)
from the next year's draft.

If a club trades a future first-round selection, it may not trade any other future selection from that same draft. But if a club keeps its future first-round selection, it can trade any of its future selections from other rounds.

So far the only departures from the senior list are Reilly, JPod, Siggins and Martin. That's 4. We also have to promote Kelly and O'Brien off the rookie list.

That currently leaves us with 2 "live" ND selections.

Might be including Danger in that 5, assuming we dont trade in for a player.
Need to also factor in Hampton trade to hopefully go through.

Add to that you would have to be very naive to think that the club aren't looking over what is being said on here and by whom. We want to be a closed vault (the club) so those that do have sources have to be careful about what is said or not said by them otherwise they are unlikely to get any further tidbits.

Look at the finalists for GOTY this year. Its short but a good start.

But on Murda, he just re-signed a new deal this year. He bought a house in Geelong and moved in with his girlfriend and appears to be very happy there.
Im not saying it wont happen, but they are several major obstacles that have recently indicated he's more stable than likely to move.

This guys gone as well. It's possible we'll trade him for another player, involving a third or fourth club. Most likely, we'll get a draft pick of two.
