All that means precisely stuff all if he becomes part of a board that saves the footy club. No-one knows club politics like Denis, and he is still loved by North Melbourne people.

When you stack the board with so-called business nouse, you end up with a situation like that ugly contract dispute with Dean a few weeks back - that was businessmen not understanding the football imperative and vice versa. Our board needs a strong mix of football and business and I believe we will have that soon.

Archer certainly has the nouse. Currently is working in a partnership with stevo, joseph in a a sports industry.

I guess Denis has already found us one major sponsor before, a couple more would be handy as well.

But I think his value will be working with the rank and file, and encouraging them to get behind the club. There is still a lot of respect for him, and people will listen.

Not sure what position he was with at NZI, but he has worked at a reasonably high position in business before from memory.

He didn't help himself much with comments about fulfilling a childhood dream at Carlton, and working with the special characters that they had at their club (I know you weren't overly thrilled at either statement ).

Looking back, his talk pre-Hawks game this year could have mended a few bridges, and hopefully eased a bit of the anger that many of us felt about his departure.

Their job is to bring the club together.....to get all members actively supporting the cause. Others will need to control the business side more.

He's always been a North man Denis Pagan. It's where his heart is and will only strengthen the view that the AFL is going to have a massive shitfight to get rid of our football club. As for Arch, well what more can this bloke do for the club, an absolute legend. Bring it on Vlad!
