Let's not forget that free against Dunn at quarter time for chopping the arms, when he didn't even chop the arms.

He nocked the arms but no different to what happens nearly in every contest every week that goes un paid.

Moore (and Cox for that matter )have copped the same treatment all year and rarely get frees for it.

Was ver biased umpiring. They dropped and threw the ball all game and not once pinned incorrect disp.

We got nailed nearly all game fot HTB in similar circumstances...

Take it from a guy who follows a team that is always getting screwed by the umpires... Collingwood got absolutely screwed by the umpires in the dying stages tonight.

You guys should have won that game, the umpires' hearts were certainly "beating true for the red and the blue", jesus...

We were 4 goals up at 1/2 time and then froze....we lost the game thru shite disposal and panick.....not the umpires...we are the greg norman of the AFL

unfortunate guys. probably deserved to lose but you always want a fair go. umpiring was very inconsistent in the last quarter. now you know how the umps gifted the dogs flag last year.

Adams and the umpires gave them at least 6 goals.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not absolving the umpires of some blame. They were atrocious.

But if you are up by 10 goals at half time, the umpires become irrelevant.

We single handedly kept Melbourne in that game in the first half.

Putting aside the umps for a very brief moment (they deserve very huge chunk of hate coming their way today), the other big difference after half time was the clearances. We went from dominating and making the most of Grundy's dominance in the first half to getting comprehensively beaten as Melbourne roved to Grundy in the second half.

So the Greenwood free kick...

Has the world gone mad???

Or is that the worst decision i've seen this year?

Timing was perfect umps... didn't affect the result at all...
Yep
They got one or two paid both goals
They get arm chop goals
They get deliberate goals

Not making the most of the centre ruck taps after half time was a major factor, Grundy was a neutral player after that and not having a decent match for Petracca killed us.

Petracca is what we need in our forward line.

Pendles and Treloar need a good hard look at themselves for defensive running. Its costing us in every game this year and its getting worse the lack of intent and effort by them sticks out like dogs balls.

Pre game Paul Roos was saying about how when at Melbourne they set out to play us defensively as starting point, we are a great offensive midfield but get exposed by teams who spread hard and clamp us.

Teams are well aware that running hard with effort on turnover breaks our mids.

Let's not bitch about the umpires guys. Our team is pissweak. Bottom six material.

Are you kidding me they were Fu&*ing pathetic

I will have one shameless vent about the umpiring. People are saying the second half was rigged... no, the entire game was. 2 frees right in front of goal for the Dees just in the first quarter, both resulting in goals. One of them was soft but technically there (not paid at the other end), the other was 100% wrong.

It seems very likely to me that there was a directive by the AFL to favour Melbourne. Even the neutrals on the main board at shocked at how blatant the bias was.

Bitterly disappointed to lose that. Really annoyed. Yes, we gave away too many turn over goals. Despite having Grundy, when the game was there to be won by our midfield, none of our guns stood up enough to do the job.

But the way i heard the game, even on the radio with very one-sided commentary, the umps seemed to play a huge part in the final result. Several times the callers seemed to be surprised by the frees to the Demons, clearly showing they were getting the line-ball ones time after time.

Think a couple of the younger guys like Broomy and Phillips had decent games, good for their development.

But the combo of the errors and the umpiring lost us that game, no freaking doubt in my mind. Hope they can bounce back after the bye with a fire in the stomach, and a stronger team.

If humanly possible, in Varcoe out Smith, in Goldsack out Langdon, in Reid out Crocker. Give Brown another go unless Elliott fit

Grundy had a solid first half but even in the first half Hit outs to advantage was pies 4 v 5 melb.

He really needs to work on his tap work and also with the mids so that you ate directing to a spot they can run to and recieve in motion.
