Was great coaching by Dees to recognise they were being owned by Howe and Dunn, by sending Pederson up forward along with Petracca it allowed them to have a beetle chance when it can in. We had no matchup to go with Petracca and he had it on a string in the last. Should of kicked three in the last alone.

We should of had tried Moore in for a. It to mix it up as the demon midfielderswere reading it well.

Our regular contributors Adams, Pendles and Treloar were well held. Bucks could have tried to put Pendles across a half forward or Treloar come off the Half Back to get some run going.

Our young group did well and I was encouraged by Browns debut and Broomhead played a good game too.

We look tired as hope the bye gives us a chance to regroup.

Your dreaming if you think we can make the 8. Sydney is a better chance then us

Easy to look that way after a loss.

Like I said, you can check my post history.

I had us losing to Melbourne once (Queens Birthday) and beating Melbourne once (last round) and losing to Port and still scraping into the 8.

Whether that happens or not isa different story. But the Herald Sun also had us winning 12 games.

Where is Jmac?, I need him to tell me everything is ok and that we will still make finals!

Really?

Debut granted, he doesn't have to dominate or anything etc. but lets not kid ourselves.

He's had a taste, send him back to the VFL to 'hopefully' build on it.

Yes, given our injuries would like to see him stay in the team. Would much rather Brown getting games than recalling Blair.

Whatever your smoking pass it over

Lost it in the middle, second to the ball at every centre bounce with very few hitouts to advantage. There were always 3 Melb players following the ball together whereas our mids, outpositioned regularly. Even on HF line, so often the ball spilt there from the bounce and the Dees player just ran onto it with little or no pressure giving an easy fwd 50 entry off their HB line. So ordinary from the Pies today (notwithstanding the beyond abysmal umpiring).

Need to offload these C grade players that keep costing us games with their stupidity, Smith is just one of them.

Correct, our 'stars' were pathetic.

Pendlebury refused to stand up, Treloar is the best one-way runner in the competition, and Taylor Adams is the worst user by foot in the game.

F...k off Jesse and leave Jmac alone.....we will see you in the next game day thread you w....r

Playing today with 50 games or less:

Aish
De Goey
Phillips
Crocker
Moore
Brown
Broomhead
Smith
Maynard
Scharenberg
Langdon

Half the team. And i think it showed at times...
Melbourne is fairly young themselves, we just don't have any depth.
And that's what showed today.

I thought a couple of our players had a good look over their shoulder today. Not a good look.
Fairly sure I saw WHE shit himself on at least 2 occasions.

Butchered kicks sideways/backwards to the corridor is what cost us the game.

Adams had 2 that directly led to goals.

Lost it across Half Back
Smith turned it over many times, Langdon was out of his depth (understandable being first game back) Scharenberg was beaten (but he will learn more from that)

Agreed. All three of them were poor.
I still have high hopes for Scharenberg.
