Posts Out of Sequence

Maybe its my imagination but the AFL board seems to have a life of its own. The thread at the top of my screen is not the one with the most recent post - they seem to be moving around all over the place.

Has anybody noticed this?

I think its the polls. When someone votes on one, it uses the time of that vote as the most recent. Of course, that vote is not a post, so sometimes it seems to shoot back to the top of the list without a new post included.

Yes, I set it like that to see what effect it would have, beneficial or otherwise.

Is it annoying? I can change it back to only update if there is an actual post.

It is annoying.You go to read a new post and there isn't one.The old way was better.

Hehe ... well when I'm feeling REALLY fussy about it, I check and remember the 'total votes' figure ...

Nah its true that it confuses things, votes shouldn't be counted as updates. Of course then we rely on people to post as well as vote so that an active poll doesn't disappear off screen and leave us with insufficient data.

Its easy. You just copy paste the entire poll to a text file every time you look at it.

(some of my obsessions are healthy, though)
