Why do we need a 'star forward' when we've developed some internally? Keep Amartey and Logan fit and we're well stocked up top. Probably need to look at one in the draft this year to develop, but not sure we need to outsource. A better ruck and some KPD stocks seems a higher need, like Himmelburg.

Congrats to longtime patron (and former chairman) of the club, Peter Weinert, for getting the Catholic Church to turn his $4 million investment into $102 million.
Should comfortably cover the money he tipped into the club into the club in the early 90s, with room for a few extra additions to the new HQ (helipad anyone?). Get the chequebook out, Peter, before they phase them out completely!
We will, however, need to find somewhere else to hang the banner if we ever manage to get back to the GF.

We've had some bloody good benefactors over the years.
Compare them to Mathieson and Carlton, where because he has given the club some pokies he feels he has the right to publicly (and often) criticise the club and create disharmony at and for the club.
I remember when Steven Trigg was CEO of Carlton he stated we need to "We need to build a club that stands on its feet without... philanthropy."
The statement was made at a dinner for 100 of the club's wealthiest supporters hosted at Jeanne Pratt's mansion, back in 2015.
So basically we need to stand on our own two feet without philanthropy and could you please give us a couple of mill to start us off and please Bruce can we keep the pokies.
Guys such as Weinert, Willesee, Kimberley et al rescued the club back in the late 1980s and did so because of their love of the club.
Chalk and cheese between them and Mathieson, who I'm sure is a Carlton supporter, but arguably does more harm than good.
And one of the guys who was part of the Willesee consortium back then was Basil Sellers who is still putting money into the club, his latest contribution being the Adam Goodes statue.

A tool fleeing security ran across in sneakers without slipping, yet we have so many, papley especially , who fall over constantly and slip and slide everywhere. Not to mention the ball sliding out of hands so often .

Such a weird overlap of players. Legit can't remember Dawson & Florent being in the reserves at the same time as Tippett, Jack, Laidler etc. And Wicks there despite not even being drafted yet. And what was Rohan doing in the reserves?
