Mate, you're the one who starts these things by saying things like "Swan or not" to people going to other games.

Don't blame me or others for challenging you or pointing out hypocrisy.
It's in your opinion and we disagree , move on

And? Since every team is a threat on and off the field, why do you get to "support" other teams, but it's wrong when others do it?

It's just hypocrisy.
Don't you get they are a threat to Sydney . READ WHAT COLLESS SAID , HE USED TO BE OUR CHAIRMAN A GREAT FOOTY MAN WHO KNOW .
Goodbye off to training

I get that every team is a threat to Sydney.

Given the significant supporter base in Vic, should Victorians only attend Swans games and no others, because they might otherwise be supporting a club that competes for the support of Victorians?

Same to a lesser extent for Swans fans in other states, like me.

But i don't put money into the gate of a pop up club like GWS

Attended a meeting the other night addressing the diversity of culture around our capital cities. One particularly learned bloke brought the house down with reference to "The two Sydney-based pop-up AFL clubs".

That's why you'll never understand my friend

Lol , that must've been fun , can i attend the next one

Absolutely , just don't give GWS any pump up

What about the Women's team? I mean, I got attached to the Lady Giants while Sydney were sitting on their hands waiting for the other clubs to do all the heavy lifting in the first seasons.

And just as an aside.... would that qualify the Swans women as a pop-up?

I couldn't give a stuff about the girls gws team, nothing to do with my personal thoughts , thanks again for your reply

Honest question, are we in rebuild territory?

If that’s true then there’s a few we should only play in a farewell game. 3 I can think of

Think it depends what we dish up for the rest of the year. If there's no rally, we might need a 19/20 type rebound, just with better drafting. We'll need to bring in some talls at either end and another inside mid in any case, plus sort out which academy kids are most needed (not just take them all, which I think we showed we're moving on from).

Out of contract players like Francis, Hamling, Mitchell (would give him another game), Kirk, Paton, Rampe, Lloyd might not have a place here any more. Though most of these were going to need to happen soon regardless of our year. Fox would depend on whether he can overcome injury struggles. Any contracted players interested in heading off can jog on.

Not rebuild. Retool.
There are 4-5 regulars that need to go. 2 of them most likely retire so there's probably 3. Then you need to make harsh decisions on the young players.
Would still like to see the club invest in another genuine gun. Just not sure where it would suit most, I'm actually leaning towards key defender.

Rampe and Lloyd should both go. But the group needs a shake up, thats hard to work out who, they need to want to or be willing to accept a trade, have a value to other clubs and get us something back/ But rolling out this core again next year seems like the wrong choice right now.

I think Rampe and Lloyd are the retirees. If Lloyd wants to keep playing then he needs to find a new home.
Personally I think it will be McLean and Florent and one of either Hayward or Campbell.
Additionally Fox will be off the list as well as Ladhams, Hamling and Francis.

It's a lot of list turnover and a lot of height they will need to find, but with say 4 of the academy guys coming in plus potentially another high pick so let's say 5, the Swans will be able to retool with much of the 2024 GF squad in tact.
