I was at the city end but had binoculars on Geelong who were doing sprints across the ground at the Punt Road end. Roos seemed to run straight into them on the Olympic Stand side as they did a lap - easily avoided on their part - seemed to me to be deliberate. Mooney's response I did not catch - anyone see it?

Definitely deliberate, I've never seen two teams at the one end of the ground in the warm up like that and I go to over 30 games a year. It was an obvious continuation of what they tried to do when we played them last time.

Laidley claimed to have no knowledge.

Looked like Bomber was fired up and yelling at his old teammate at the Roos when it happened.

Great start to the game though!!!

North ran around to our side of the warm-up, a few little bumps, started a bit of a push and shove.

Definetely deliberate tactic by the roos to show their intentions early and to rough us up a bit. And it clearly worked....:p

It was the closest some of the North players got to their opponents on the day

;)

Was right in front of the M52 crew. Soon as those marshmallows ran in trying to act tough the game was never in doubt. They ran off like they'd accomplished something by doing it :D
Pathetic Gold Coast w***ers.

We were walking up the aisle about to get a frothie when the crowd erupted and the scuffle broke out. Moondogs top had been ripped off and Chappy was getting in amoungst it.

It was great seeing Bomber Thompson strutting about near the melee with his confident swagger.

Chappy stood up for his teammates and gave the big prick Archer something to think about. Mooney scared them a bit, then Tom Harley came in and stood in front of his troops and said, 'enough'.

Did anyone think that Mooney looked disinterested in what the Roos were trying to dish up? I got the impression he didn't rate those dopey inbred bastards one bit and found their hostility almost laughable.

It was a bit like, 'Do YOU want to fight? I'll wipe the floor with you.'

Chappy, Mooney and Archer = 3 of the hardest men in AFL.
