Surely this is announced tomorrow.
Would love to see the three games with the most on the line spread out on the Sunday like this:
12.30pm Swans v Dees
3.20pm Cats v Dogs
6.10pm Blues v Giants

These 3 will all be for finals and top 2 in Melbournes case etc

huge

It's a farce that North and GC in Tassie isn't on Fri night to kick off the round!

Genuine question, have they ever rostered a night game from Hobart or Launceston?

I’m pretty sure Launceston has had pre-season night games before, but not during the home and away

North played the Tigers there in a Fri night H&A game in 2016. It was awesome, full house, record crowd, we won by 70 points (back in the days when we used to win games)

After GWS spank Essendon, there's like a 99.9% chance Essendon can't make the finals even if they win their last game.

Why fixture it Friday night? Just because it's against Fridaywood?

Not out of the realm of possibility that they can still make the 8...

They can make the 8 and Collingwood have Top 2 on the line. Plus, Collingwood vs Essendon is such a blockbuster game that they can get a high attendance in prime time. It makes the most sense for this match to be the Friday night match.

According to Tom Morris

Fri: Collingwood v Essendon
Sat early: Hawthorn v Freo
Sat 1.45pm: GC v NMFC
Sat twilight: Brisbane v St Kilda
Sat night: Geel v Dogs
Sat night: WC v Adelaide
Sun 1.10pm: Port v Richmond
Sun 3.20pm: Syd v Melb
Sun evening: Carlton v GWS

WC v Adelaide on Sat night seems like a waste of that prime time slot

Could be a request from Eagles (if clubs have been able to have any say) due to Hurn's final game (all going well). Saturday night should get a full house.

There's a chance (though think we'll miss out) Adelaide might need a win to make the 8, would've been good to have it Sunday arvo as the last game of the round.

Spot on. Well not necessarily the last game of the round (I'm ok with that being Carlton v Giants because I think there will be more riding on it) but certainly on Sunday

There was speculation earlier that the West Coast v Adelaide game would be on Sunday and the Port v Richmond game would be Saturday. However, Port play in Perth on Sunday the week before in a game that starts at 4pm SA time. So it makes sense that those 2 have been switched.

I completely agree. Just thinking of possible explanations. Game breaks is another which another poster has pointed out.

Not at all. Will be a fox game and hardly seen. All neutral eyeballs will be on Geelong v Dogs which would be the ch7 game. AFL will be looking to minimise games on at the same time of consequence.

Was mentioned on SEN that the Sunday games will not overlap - AFL to confirm in around an hour

12.30pm (12pm SA time) - Port Adelaide vs Richmond
3.20pm - Sydney vs Melbourne
6.10pm - Carlton vs GWS

Given Adelaide's fondness for traveling this year, you really wouldn't want it to come down to winning this one!
