Thanks for advise. I will take not one bit of notice of it. I know what I see and hear. And I know I'm a good bloke so whatever you say has not one little effect on me. All I know is ive never been suspended by the VAFA and I don't know many coaches who have.

Its a fine line....I had a run in with Luke beveridge when he was coaching st bedes. In my book he carried on like a complete tosser. He's been able to push on quite nicely since!!

Yes, he was suspended by the VAFA. He verbally abused an opposition player and coach after the Bulleen Temp captain belted two young players. I'm proud of how he stood up for the club he is so passionate about. It worked out pretty well for him and the club. Kew FC went on to bear Ormond (I wonder where your bitterness stems from, Bedford...) without their 2 gun forwards in the first final and then in the Grand Final where he was able to coach again

It's not anonymous at all champ,many know who I am on here. You only need to speak to other people from other clubs about it. No one at the club has a problem with the finals result we were beaten fair and square and by the way you are only 1 game ahead of us, be careful of going the early bear.

This forum is a joke...I thought I'd get involved because I have a genuine interest in Vafa as a past player and having a son playing in a Prem C Club.
It has been taken over by this whole Aitken issue by people who are clearly bitter and twisted by the past. I don't know or care the history but I was certainly surprised by a response I got to a simple view I had on post I put up earlier when I dared to note Ormond as a possible relegation at the end of the year .

You guys need some fresh blood and new topics.

So no coach has had 2 young kids belittled before? Get real. That is no excuse and if you think that passion well I feel for you. I don't like the way the guy carries on but that doesn't mean I don't respect Kew. How could I not. They thrashed us in the GF.

OK, back to footy.
Is the four set, it might just be. The Pirates started in sensational fashion and have dropped off but will bounce back, as they have too many good players. The Nodders ae having a great come back season under a very good coach. OI are hard to read , were smashed by the bottom team and only fell in by a point over the Monds who were also last at the time. Caulfield have bounced back in strong fashion and won't lose too many. So those 4 , I can't see dropping out.
Willy is next and seem to rely a lot on the Grey brothers who are very good players. Kew will be in the top 7 and the rest are a toss up and relegation will go right down to round 18.

I tend to agree that the current top four teams look set to be there at the finish,
with Williamstown being the only real danger to jump in if one of them falter.
The two sides that look very stiff and have the job in front of them not to slide are Kew and Ormond
who have to play 7 of their last 10 games away from their home grounds.

From a Kew point of view we've been in winnable positions and lost by 1 point after the siren, 3 points and 8 points to 3 top teams, comprehensively beaten by the top team and then (similarly to the other close losses) blew a late lead to lose a close one to Old Camberwell. Personally, I think we are only a few things going our way away from threatening the 4th spot, but it's going to be a mighty task.

Mazenod and Caufield seem to be sitting comfortable in the top 4, Old Ivanhoe and Penninsula started very well but have slid in the last couple of weeks, perhaps opening the door?

I think from the results we've seen I wouldn't be too keen to write anyone off or say anyone has cemented a spot in the top 4.
