How did Moore go in the SANFL?

Without seeing how Butcher has played could be an interesting in and even if he is subbed at 3 QTR time. who to drop? Oshea and use Wingard more in the midfield?

Who becomes the sub this week IF we go unchanged??

Looking forward to this one. Keen to see how you guys go against a more experienced outfit. Also hoping we get our first dry game of the season :)
All the best.

Starting to think it will be Redden making way for Gray...Lobbe stays on ground longer enabling more rotations helping the midfield keep run in the legs.....and Mitchell gets a run in the SANFL for Colquhon as sub....Grays not coming in to be sub and Neade is staying on the ground.

I swear to God, if we try to match Jacobs with Lobbe and Westhoff again ...

Yeah, but he's not. Ability is irrelevant, we need moar experience.

Changes for this week:
Out: Heath, Stevenson, Wines, Neade, Mitchell
In: Logan, Cassisi, Thomas, Gray (injury be damned, he has experience), Brettbert (just had surgery? We don't care. Experience, mother****ers).

This actually isn't far off from Mark Riccuito's suggested side.

I just don't get this mentality that we need to make changes "because its a showdown". Give Gray another week or two. Leave Cassisi at West Adelaide. We have a leadership group and we have other senior players like Cornes and Carlile. This idea that we need Cassisi's experience is just stupid. Winning sides should remain unchanged unless changes are forced.

Would recommend not dropping Redden as last time you went Lobbe by himself it wasn't pretty ;)

I like how we're not treating this game as a showdown. In fact, we're not even treating it "just like any other game". It's being talked about by our coach and players as a game against a top four side that will help us gauge where we're really at. It's absolutely fantastic to see IMO.

The only change I would make would be if Hartlett doesn't come up - bring Mitchell onto the ground and start Gray as sub. Other than than that leave the side unchanged. Its a long season - the other boys will get their chance.

I urge all PAFC supporters not to tune into the Power v Crows game that is going to be broadcast on 5AA 1395 on Sunday. The bosses at 5AA in their right minds have put all Crow arse kissers behind their mics on game day with the exception of Josh Francou as Special Comments Man on the boundary.

This is a POWER HOME GAME and the least 5AACROWS could do is have a balance mob behind the mics. Now i know why PAFC supporters don't listen to 5AA Sports... and now hopefully a few more won't listen. Go to MMM or ABC 891 for your footy fix in the Power v Crows game on Sunday. At least their you'll get a balance of both.

Yeah nah. We played in a mix of dry and wet and were stuffed. It was an intense hit out. IIRC a commentator said at one point it was one of if not the best game of the year so far. With 2 minutes to go there was 6 points in it. Brisbane were far better than you give them credit for, coz that's what you want to think.
lol the best game of the year! it was a scrappy boring game, i was watching it with Crows supporters who weren't even interested

Done!

Don't listen to them much these days anyway, only if there is an interview I want to hear or if they lose a Showdown
If that happens this weekend I'll have that radio on 5aa in a flash :D

Because Josh Francou is famous for his support of Port since retirement...

Anyway, if we start winning comfortably at any point I'll certainly be tuning in.

Rowe will be at his boorish, vitriolic worst regardless of the result, egged on by the childish giggles of McDermott and Dillon.

Treat it as another game and as long as there are no forced changes leave the team as it is.

Neade and maybe one or two more youngsters will nead a rest in a couple of weeks but not yet.

Neade has actually improved and looked more assured with each outing. Ran the game out well too.
And he will for a few more games, but as he is only young and still undersized body wise there will come a time that if we do not look after him he will get burned out.

Perhaps next time you should use the sarcasm emoticon so Mark knows you're taking the piss.

If any player was going to come in for Hartlett, you'd think it would be Moore. As it is, Mitchell has now played 2 games as sub so he'd probably be due for a full game - problem is, I don't want any of the 21 who played last week to be the sub. So we may have to drop Mitchell and play Moore as sub which would be a shame as Mitchell has done everything asked of him and more.

The only player in danger of losing their spot IMO is Redden as he was quiet against GWS and Renouf was very good in the SANFL.

Absolutely spot on.

Don't try and fix what's not broken.

If no ones injured the team stays the same. The only change that may be a possibility, is Redden out, Renouf in.

I always had the feeling with Lobbe the more he does the better he gets.....he's maybe a better player than he was a month ago and a month from now he will be a better player again...I will not dispute Redden is a better option as a tap ruck but would maybe back Lobbe to break even and possibly be of more value around the ground should the Power choose to go down that path.
