So the rookie list is now back to only Shae and Cribbin. We are already committed to Mooney and Hartley to take it to four.

It is looking more likely now that Farmer and Stubbs will be moved there also leaving two live picks in the rookie; which is what Hine said (from memory) in his post trade week CTV interview.

Cribbin irishmen had an alright vfl season

Mooney irishmen, amazing vertical leap, speed and agility (recorded times that broke the all time draft camp records, a higher vertical leap than natanui and ridiculas speed is the more exciting part)

Hartley tall defender who had an up and down national championships for nsw, played well on Patton(likely number 1-2 pick and is gonna be the next brown/riewoldt/cloke) but had some average games. Came in for last few VFL games and was ok. A lot to work with though, particulary his perfect height

surprised to see so many call for Simon BUckley's head. I thought he played quite well everytime he played this year. Kicked some beautiful long goals...and I actually thought he was looking more and more solid before the stars came back and he was forced out.

He obviously had a bit of a poor game when Mick called him aside and gave him the "point"...he was dropped after that and couldnt break into the side again.

But a guy with his kick, mature body and versatility is an asset to the list if only as depth.

I am not sure if Collingwood is invoking the gentleman's agreement which allows players to move from the primary list to rookie list without getting poached, I believe that is more for compassionate or injury related issues.

Collingwood would have delisted both those players if they weren't in contracts. The only reason we're going to add them to the rookie list is so we don't have to pay them out under the salary cap. If another team picks them up it might be to our advantage.
