Why are the ressies singing the song?

I thought for the point of your argument you would claim Collingwood is singing the song?
The jumpers are the same after all according to Eddie.[emoji6]

You would probably have to get rid of the number panel for port i thinkCollingwood could wear what they wore today against what Port wore for the song there and there wouldn't even be a clash.

can anyone honestly say they'd have trouble distinguishing these two teams from one another? the backs also look completely different.
you may be right about that but i think it's still different enough with the solid black back that it doesn't look like the stripes collingwood have on theirs. You would probably have to get rid of the number panel for port i think
Is the teal on the logo enough to satisfy pies fans?Collingwood could wear what they wore today against what Port wore for the song there and there wouldn't even be a clash.

Have PA got too cute for their own good? The AFL statement is an outright ban for round 8, not just during the match. Why are the ressies singing the song?

"On that basis, and consistent with the arrangements that have applied to all previous instances of use of the "prison bar" guernsey by Port Adelaide since the Club joined the AFL (i.e. with the approval of the AFL and Collingwood) the AFL does not grant permission for the guernsey to be worn in Round 8."

Statement: Port Adelaide request to wear black and white striped guernsey
The AFL confirms it has not approved the request for Port Adelaide to wear a black and white striped 'prison bars' guernsey for the Round 8 match vs Adelaide Crowswww.afl.com.au
if the AFL penalise port for this, it'll be widely seen as a ridiculous overreaction and probably increase sympathy for their cause.

But why would Gold Coast or Giants want to do that? What if Gold Coast or even Giants were to redesign their guernsey to a prison bars template? Queensland in the old State-of-origin used to wear a great maroon prison bars and the Geelong Football League inter-league team wear a great navy blue and white pb guernsey. This would get Port into the grey and white or grey and black pb’s fairly quickly.

Black and white clashes with black and white worse than black and white clashes with black and red. The match up above would be horrific for fans and probably umpires as well with the speed of the game. This match up would (should) never fly.Less of a clash than Anzac Day this year
Great for Crows supportersif the AFL penalise port for this, it'll be widely seen as a ridiculous overreaction and probably increase sympathy for their cause.

Gold Coast need an Australian rules football jumper not a soccer jumper they wear now. And I’m still not convinced on the Giants jumper either, any jumper that looks one colour from the front and different from the back doesn’t work. But why would Gold Coast or Giants want to do that?
That’s fair but why would they choose to do prison bars over every other possible design? It’s a pretty crazy hypothetical.Gold Coast need an Australian rules football jumper not a soccer jumper they wear now.
