I have a proposition to make: I move that we put in place a ban on Weevil for all match days for 2009.

We have seen what happened during the Melbourne game in 08 and we're all still hurting from that one. But he pulled the trigger again today and almost cost Australia the win in the test. Weevil does not add anything constructive to match days and is therefore a greater risk than he is any good and should therefore be banned. (;))

Those in favour say I...

Thats mean!!...poor weevs!

Harsh, but fair. He is clearly not showing any responsibility for his own picture posting. Just ask yourself what would Vossy do...

Vote 1: 'In Favour'

Hahahaha… nice thread Joshhem.

I tend to think on occasions he can add some reasonable incite with posts regarding current or past events but once he starts his fat lady crystal balling… well nobody should have to put up with that.
I want my vote to burn him I mean ban him… from posting any futuristic prognostications during a game. :p

How do you propose such a thing, Fred? The problem is that Weevil has shown no remorse. The man has completely lost control, and there is no telling what he will do next. Can he be trusted in a crunch game, a final, a..... grand final:eek:

I second the motion:D

Well of *course* Mr Weevil would not do that again now would he ... unless of course he wanted to stir things up ...

Maybe he could change his avatar to the same picture but with the red circle and diagonal line through it to show his good intentions (a no fat lady zone) ...

From a club's / official perspective we don't mind anyone coming to the games as long as they have bought their memberships / tickets and encourage all sizes, genders, races, ages and football nouses!

:D

How binding is the vote? Can a moderator, like Weevil over-ride the wishes of the democratic majority?

Or will he just red card those of us who voted yes?

I want the United Nations involved!!

Last season was a heartache ! bloody Fat Lady.. Anything to get us back on winners list.
Weevil will bow to public pressure. Where are the remaining votes.. TBD, Warwick ?!

His word is good enough for me.

We've already lost Leigh. I don't want to lose Vossy as well.

I think if you look carefully there is still some evidence that he is back to his old tricks of editing peoples posts... darn the evidence is gone.

edit... Freddie still says weevil is the coolest Mod-star on BigFooty...

In favour. That was a horrible day and should never be spoken of again.

It does surprise me that people think it is punishment for a moderator to have to avoid this forum on match day....If all it takes is to post a picture of a fat lady singing, then consider this my application.

We'll win the flag for sure:

If you look on the Cricket board the same fat lady was 10 balls off stuffing up again yesterday:p

I think she needs to be part of the clubs future, like Joffa's Jacket.

In the words of Catherine Tate: What a ****ing liberty.

My god you should have seen that pack of squibs on the cricket board yesterday.

Yeah things were tight, things were rough. Yeah posters left right and centre were cacking their dacks.

But who was there standing up for Australia yesterday afternoon? Hey? ...Yeah that’s right, good old weevil.

Just remember that. weevil and Mitchell Johnson, when the others couldn’t hack the pressure, we were the ones winning the test match for Australia.

I tried in the Melbourne game last year, but not even I can win every game off my own boot/bat.

I reckon we should card some of the (so called) supporters who aren’t prepared to back our team the way I do. Without that deadweight I reckon I could get the team over the line more often.

I think you fit more into the Matt Hayden category.

With a few overs to go... you dropped a major clanger and were very lucky for the team to escape with a win.

Subsequently your long term future is in doubt.

Mate to be honest the opinions of fair-weather supporters don’t really bother me that much.

If you are not prepared to back the team when things get tough then I don’t think your opinion carries much weight around here.

Fair-weather my ass.

I've been talking up Mitchell Johnson on that cricket board for years while the rest of them were pleasuring themselves to pictures of Shaun Tait.

That victory yesterday was mine.

No, I’m saying you are a fair-weather Lions supporter. I back the team in the heat of battle, but you don’t think people should that.

That’s okay mate, each to their own. I’ll stick with the team through thick and thin, you just chime in for the good times. ;)

Someone who had backed our team in the bad times would know how predisposed we are to coughing up a lead in the 4th quarter and would have the good judgement not to post the fat lady in a down-to-the-wire affair.

Yeah, like I say, it’s okay mate, you take the easy way.

The fat lady has the confidence in the boys to get the job done, browndog just doesn’t.

You know they say that’s what separates the champions from the also-rans.
