Handed to me by a reliable source, there has been a fairly substancial brawl in an Adelaide pub between players from Port and Adelaide.

Mark Riccuito initiated the fight, calling Josh Carr (his opponent for the day) to "step outside". Being a sensible guy, josh stayed inside. However his mouth got the better of them, and then a few players from each side got involved in the rumble.

These are all of the details I have at the moment, but it's even amazing that both teams were drinking at the same place.

(oh yeah,.. i'd have $20 on Riccuito)

I heard on the way to work that both clubs were investigating the matter, but no details.

Maybe the Port players went back to Ricciutos pub for a couple of hard earned victory drinks? :D

Carr might be smaller than Riccuito but i wouldnt rule him out. Hes already beaten Roo pig once in a fight...wouldnt surprise me if he did it again.
Hardly surprising from Roo really. Hes an angry and very very arrogant young man. Hes played a bout 2 good games since he became captain. Hell i dont even rate him that much. Watch his game closely and youll notice the majority of his kicks are simply just bombs forward to noone in particular. Id rather Mcleod, Goodwin, Riccuito, Johnson and probably Doughty in my side before Riccuito.

Good one Macca ;)

Oh and Josh Francou is nothing like that is he?Ricciuto polled votes in more then 2 matches at last years Brownlow and I am sure he is shattered you(he who knows everything) don't rate him.

The correct grammar is actually 'he is shattered you DON'T rate him'.

Francou has a shocking kick. If he never kicked the football again id be a happy man...he'd still be as effective as most of his effective disposals are handballs from a pack.
Keep on sniping tho...you are doing a good job. Maybe you might actually start a post that isnt a sniping reply to a port supporter  Probably wishful thinking tho.

Similar scenario last year at Naughton's, where players from the two teams I hate the most got into a brawl at the end of the season.

According to Chad Cornes:
Port guys having drinks at Ramsgate hotel....they were their first (this is fact as my mate was there and wrote me an sms telling me the port guys were there). Apparently the Crows players then came in. Apparently (according to Chad), Kane Johnson and Josh Carr were having a beer together having a joke about the game with a bit of friendly ribbing....Mark Riccuito butted in and initiated the argument by saying something...Josh Carr replied...Riccuito asked him to step outside...then Josh Carr clocked him one.

According to a guy who was at the pub and rang up 5AA:
A high ranked Crow player said something disgustingly low to a Port player....the Port player replied with something about the game...the Crow player said something else really disgusting...the Port player had a go back....they went outside and a fight broke out between 10 players.

According to the Ramsgate manager....A crows player intiated the argument and a fight ended up occuring between 25 players from both sides.

According to Graham Cornes from "another source":
Riccuito initiated a fight with Josh Carr which ended up with Josh Carr clocking Riccuito outside the pub.

seems the concensus is taht a Crows player (most likely Riccuito) initiated it. Cant say im surprised if it was Riccuito.

I'll have to ask me best mate what happened...he was there at the time i believe.

it was probably nothing maybe some teasing or something.. Just the media reading too much into it. But i hope they suspend all the players!

Tried to run me over once...nearly punched one of my female friends at the Planet once. You could say ive had a few run ins with the prick.

Just spoke to my best mate, who ill state is a crow supporter, who was at the pub at the time. There was about 10 Port players there who were playing pool and enjoying a few drinks. He actually SMSd me this message "Im at the ramsgate with half of the PAFC. Wanna trade spots?". I was gonna go there (only 2 minutes from my house) but didnt end up going. Then a number of Crows players wandered into the pub as well.
Apparently it started with Riccuito making a racist comment towards one of the Aboriginal Port players at the pub (anyone here like C-C's?). Josh Carr told him to get f'ed (and rightly so the racist prick). Riccuito then grabbed Josh Carr by the throat and pulled him outside which is when Kane Johnson clocked Carr from behind...which is when the other Port players got involved. Smashed windows, players thrown on car bonnets, punches thrown everywhere, dragging, scragging, pushing and shoving for about 30 minutes.

So thats an eyewitness account from my crow supporting best mate who was there at the time.

If taht is true

At least two Crows players should be harshly dealt with by the Club

What's with the C-C's comment?? Doesn't make much sense.

I think he was hinting at who the aboriginal Port player was.

I doubt either club will take any action, that we will hear about anyway.

I thought that's what he was alleged to have said?

Doesnt sound racist, unless C-C stands for a double coconut or something :p

Will be dealt with in house according to John Reid and Rob Snowden. Theyve certainly played it down....according to them it was 'no more than a push and shove'...even tho the Ramsgate manager said it was a full on fight outside.

I dont know if its completely true....but im gonna believe my best mate whos never lied in his life over a couple of Club CEO's who are going to play it down
