I assume you mean new-skool because unless you were around for the Clash or the Pistols it's unlikely you've seen many original punk shows.

For mine:
Pennywise/NOFX @ Offshore (incredible gig)
No Fun at All @ The Corner
The Ataris @ Hi-Fi Bar
Goldfinger/Sum 41/Unwritten Law @ The Lyric
Mad Caddies @ The Corner

Wouldn't call myself a punk, but like the music.

Gigs? hmmm...

Late '90's Pennywise
BR (the only punk band that matters ) - St. Valentine's Day '97.
Suicidal Tendencies (is that too heavy for the bleached spiky hair set)
Living End
Body Jar
Frenzal Rhomb
Offspring @ BDO
NoFX

Want to see Jello Biafra's spoken word stuff and I'm spewing I missed Hank Rollins earlier in the year.

wouldn't call myself a punk fan, a rock fan really but i don't mind punk...

favourite bands at the moment would be Bodyjar (saw em saturday nite, they went off), Pacifier and 28 Days...

don't mind bands like the living end, frenzal rhomb, all those types of aussie bands...

my favourite punk band would have to be For Amusement Only...

saw the ramones a few times.
that was punk rock to me.

pennywise were pretty entertaining too.

Porthos, I'm 90% sure you're joking, but I just need you to put it into writing - thanks.
:D

I've seen Frenzal Rhomb, the Living End and NoFX. Each brilliant in their different way.

And Porthos: :D

The Hitman

I'm here mate, and I won't lower myself to comment on Good Charlotte.
I do agree with Hotpie though.........she rawks!

As for many of the other bands mentioned here........they are NOT PUNK! Is that what you wanted Porthos? ;)

Good to see the Celibate Rifles mentioned.

Buzzcocks
Henry Rollins
Ramones
Iggy Pop
Sex Pistols
Birthday Party
All of the local punk bands-name one and I am likely to have seen them.

And Wacked Yak I presume you are talking about Rollins doing Balck Flag songs earlier in the year? Mate you missed out big time, it was sensational although he didnt do much early stuff just mainly material from damaged. Even did a couple of Ramones songs.

Getting old - I keep forgetting which bands I've seen. Buzzcocks, Iggy, the Celibate Rifles can all be added to my list.

Do you have the West Memphis Three album? I just want to hear Hank & Chuck D sing "Rise Above", and Ice T sing "Six Pack"

Mate I havent even heard about it. Any other songs/artists of note?

Does Napalm Death count as punk? They were brilliant live. I guess they're a death metal/punk hybrid.

Other than that I like the Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Dead Kennedys, Brujeria, The Ramones and Bad Brains. I'm sure there's also a few obvious ones which I missed.
