I think it's not so much what happened with the camp, it was the clubs utter refusal to deal with it beyond "get over it", once the complaints were made. Even if they were minor, the club showed no care to fix a situation some players were troubled by. Then eventually it was promised we'd fix it, people would change and it never happened. How are players supposed to have any trust in management when your complaints and suggestions are constantly dismissed with "I know better", which is exactly the type of attitude Roo and Burton have.So many of our problems start with camp
Shortys also given some info previously in PM which has been accurate
Another rookie coach they can saddle with the same s**t assistants, who'll feel he doesn't have the power or the pull to demand changes he wants.Don't mind that. Bring him home.
So now the review is done, lets move on.
Nope he's gone now, all is fine. That was quick. Any lingering issues?
He started a seismic data company or something like that to do with oil and gas exploration after he left Adelaide the first time. Sold the company off and made a ton of money then went back to WC as an assistant.Remember? I had no idea.
Have you genuinely been impressed with his coaching?
Sorry to hear about Pyke but probably the best for all concerned. Would not be surprised if he decided to have a complete break from football or perhaps end up on the Board of some Club or Organisation. One thing about Pyke, he is no fool!
No termination payment - apparently - it is a resignation.

No, the fools are still at our clubSorry to hear about Pyke but probably the best for all concerned. Would not be surprised if he decided to have a complete break from football or perhaps end up on the Board of some Club or Organisation. One thing about Pyke, he is no fool!
He actually said today he wants to continue coaching and believes hes still got a lot to offer. Surprised me, I thought he would have had enough.Sorry to hear about Pyke but probably the best for all concerned. They're just saying what everyone else is thinking. You seem to have the maturity of a 5 year old.
He did (because it wasn’t a termination) but then said something about those discussions are still happening. I think there will be some kind of relatively small severance pay
I certainly don’t think he was the problem and I’m sceptical about our ability to recruit a better replacement
My issue was his selection policy but that is almost certainly driven by his contractual targets and other KPI’s
Tex, and now Pyke, showing what ppl that accept responsibility for performance, in a high performance industry, do.
The gauntlet thrown down now to those others, many of which were bigger brakes, to do the same. Lets see how many of the others do the same, that is, put the club before themselves.
Pyke may not have been perfect but he's a class above some others down there.
Hopefully the players are all in witness protection.I am staggered at the sheer number of posters in this thread rushing to say Burton is staying.
There is no way he survives a review where most players say in their interview that they hate him, there is absolutely no way he survives a review.
What reviewLucky he's not in charge of the review then hey.
