Same thing happened on Jars and Biggles last night.
Caller rang in asking if any heat on Burton, and Biggles went off on a weird as tangent and never even mentioned Burton in his reply.
They’re going through a review, what do you expect them to say?
What message would it send to the review panel that they’re being second guessed and what do you think the media would run with.
Seriously.

So rather than admitting you got it wrong you’re doubling down.

What does “particularly because of Don’s decision” mean?

Chapman the dufus slipped up and once again you’ve fallen on the side of the club defender.

Lol

The fact I'm right makes your post even funnier.

Chapmans a crap interviewer and shouldn't be there. But that's not really the point.

So what does his comment mean?

But you denied he even said it to begin with so how does that make you right Chap?

So can someone please reconcile for me the following two things that have been reported today:
1. Pyke stepping down is not related to the review that is in progress
2. Chapman saying on 5AA that now that Pyke has stepped down they expect the review to be completed earlier
Chapman lies.

I think the only way the club will avoid paying Pykey out is if he has accepted or is deep into the Freo job

Really does anyone really believe Pyke won't get some sort of payout.
Only way would not if all know going to get Free job

I can’t see it being significant given he resigned, but I expect there’ll be a couple hundred gorillas to grease the exit path. I like the quote, “hand over to fresh faces” in his presser. Please be true.

You’re not right, you were 100% wrong, it’s not even arguable. You just went into full defend mode, as you often do, and got egg all over your face and then you doubled down for more of that delicious egg.

You could be right. But I think it's more likely that Chapman got his words mixed up. He had a really bad day at the office. Like, really bad.
Had a poor decade at the office...

No i denied the inference that Pyke gone means review can be concluded.

That's clearly not the case.

The review is the review, what Chapman expects is completely irrelevant.

Nope, Rory asked how can we reconcile two conflicting statements from Chapman.

You said it was crap, you then denied Chapman said it. You then made up an alternate explanation to what Chapman said.

Basically you spoke crap and have doubled down since.

It was an opinion and how he interpreted the interview

Your posting , seriously , is becoming almost unhinged.

The constant conspiracy theory Chapman is lying narrative is incredibly boring

Fagan just confirmed no payout, as he resigned. Only payment is what is normally paid when someone resigns which will have no impact on the soft cap.

Here’s the original quote.

Heres my follow up, correcting the wrong time. Feel free to listen for yourself.

So at 9.16 Chapman talks the review.
He hoped it would take 5-6 weeks, he's hopeful it can be concluded earlier particularly because of Dons decision so the club can move on. [/quote]

The initial post was clearly designed to incite certain posters who choose not to listen these interviews but react to their own agendas.

Point 2 is clearly and demonstrably wrong, Chapman doesn’t expect it to, he hopes it does so the club can move on. Chapman doesn’t control the review so his hope is just that.

More to the point, a review on the football department would include a review of the head coach and more than likely that would cover a number of days. Given there now is no coach, that part of the review is clearly going to be less.

Furthermore, Dons capacity to walk away from football has been commented on previously and in the context of why he might walk away.

In summary, my posting may have been clumsy, but I'm right and there is no need to reconcile those two points as they can happily co-exist. Oh and point 2 was wrong anyway.

I'm 100% certain you don't even know what we are talking about

I think you’re 100% right

I thought also that Pyke would walk and that opinion was well before and talk of a review.

Surely he's been approached by the Dockers since Lyon was given the boot. I know he's quite well off financially either way, but you don't just walk away from a few million without a contingency plan...
