Thilthorpe has a paddock and freezes and good old Keays 💩 calling for it from an inferior position. :thumbsu:

Thilthorpe and Keayes would have been told face to face of how bad that play was. They were playing for personal glory first... Thilthorpe trying to look unselfish and Keayes trying to break his hoodoo against Collingwood.... in finals pressure when Pies were going for the kill?... silly move.

If they were up and game was low risk of getting away or if Thilthorpe had arms around him by the tackler.. fair enough... but an open goal and to mess it up gives coaches gray hairs.

Pies in the other hand... Mihocek could have easily kicked 3 goals... missed kicks that he used to do in his sleep... very badly out of form or he's not mentally 100%... maybe negotiations for extension is in his head.... but surely it didn't bother Elliot....

There are a lot of non Collingwood supporters absolutely devistated and talking down the win as an average game. "It was nothing special". "The AFL want Collingwood to win"
To all those haters, keep hating, keep focusing on Collingwood and not your own team. We love it.
It's normal.

Collingwood is hated since the 1920s when they dominated VFL. The haters back then passed on the hatred and it circulates today still. Just like Collingwood fans hate for Carlton is eternal.

Tell you what though, I think Geelong and Hawks will be the new Collingwood Carlton like rivalry in the next 50 years... Collingwood is the biggest team in AFL and thus will always get haters. Just like my hatred for Lakers.... it's just there and will always be there.

Naicos, Membrey, Sidey and I think Crisp two misses?

Yeah i got told to go to bed about 12.30 half way through the replay and a second bottle of red. Today is going to be a struggle..

Until the replay again tonight. Yeeeeeeeewwwwww
Hope you’re getting along well today legend, we’re nearly there 😂

They got schooled by the best in the business, you don't sit on top of the ladder for the majority of the year for nothing, the media need to pull their ****en heads in and read the writing on the wall and stop with this Collingwood clickbait fetish, we really had 1 bad game against Dorks and a poor last qtr v Lions all year.

We rested players and had injuries all around this period.

The smug Cats and Crows in particular, have run with healthy list for most of the year

BRING IT ON

This is why you go all out to keep Elliott and if Mihocek wants to walk let him

Are these the same people that say "Collingwood never leave Victoria", but disappear when we win a final in South Australia?

It looked wet and slippery. players falling over, missed handballs and kicks etc. Probably that Adelaide nighttime dew. wouldnt be surprised if thats why Miochek and co missed a lot of goals, ball sliding off the side of the boot. we'll see what he does back in Melbourne in 2 weeks.

Key Player review

Keays : tackled to oblivion. Effort improved markedly after the full time siren was blown
Dawson : outshone by Long
Keane: negated by Mihocek sacrificing his game along with the return of the Cox/Cameron combo
Fogerty : Maynarded to oblivion
walker : pass
Thistlethwaite : squibbed it

The rest of them: invisible or ineffective once the key players were shut down

Brilliant strategy and execution by the pies to shut down the playmakers and expose the depth
Rankine: ****wit on the bench

Oh no, when that happens they say "it's because they never have to do it, so when they do travel they're not tired"

Can't win when it comes to the fans that sook about travel, as if there aren't other vic clubs that travel the same amount as we do

What a night. And what a game we played, we executed the perfect game and demolished them with ease, the scoreboard flattered them, the 15 minute burst was the game in a nutshell, we put it to bed there and then. Kudos to Long, Moore and Lipinski, all have been down in recent weeks, but were simply awesome last night. Parker shut down Keays again, and the midfield was monstered by our group, finals experience wins out again. Having Jordy fit and firing and fresh is a luxury, but the little champ was simply devastating when he got the ball, he cut them ti ribbons with his ball use. And yet he was on the bench in the AA team lmao.

Congrats on the win. You outplayed us most of the night and had a great defensive structure. We are still learning about finals pressure and maybe can get to the level in the next couple of years. Good luck for the rest of the finals.

A glorious win!
We shut them down and beat them up!
Billy x2
Darcy Moore.
35
Q
Bruzz
Long...
Could name them all.
And
To top it off... I was on my way to work as a care support worker at 7.50am and got a call that the shift got canceled... I still get paid for the 6 hours and I got to nurse the hangover at home!
Even had a nap!
Life is good.

We got almost as much out of that game as we could've hoped for. There was a good start that Adelaide reeled in before threatening to put a gap on us in the 2nd. There was a frenzied blitzkrieg to start the 3rd after we had wrestled momentum back at the end of the 2nd. Finally, there was an opportunity to manage the game, which we managed to execute successfully.

Everyone contributed, which was the most pleasing aspect.

One concern I had though was how early we went into game management mode. Once we got 30 points up and there were maybe 6 or 7 minutes left on the clock in the 3rd, we seemed to slow the pace of the game and handed momentum back to Adelaide. The last 2 minutes of the 3rd quarter seemed to be played almost exclusively in their front half and they obliged with 2 goals.

All in all though, a very good result in what has been and no doubt will continue to be a very unpredictable and even season.
