would think Kenmore best placed given the shutdown would have almost no impact on them at all, if anything they probably financially benefit from it!

Were absolutely demolished in D1 last time they ventured in with many of the same players. Massive difference in standard

Not quite true. Only half a dozen guys from last year’s premiership side were playing Seniors when we were in Div 1 (2016). But I agree, we would not be able to compete up there now, either.

Yes you are correct but park ridge
Not sure you can jump
From div 4 to div 1
And don't deserve a go they had the chance
And went to div 4
There are more stable outfits
sorry tommy

Funny how rules changed this year so Bond didn’t have go up to Div 1 after winning Div 2.

Be interesting to see how Buffs fair this year as if they aren’t competitive will make Viccy Point and Kenmore think twice.

Not sure what the answer is for this year as it appears foregone conclusion with Noosa from what everyone is indicating do not sure clubs would be jumping to get spanked.

I have nothing against Bond but on the surface it's hard to argue with you SM in regards how the treatment differed for Bond.

Things just got a whole lot messier now with NEAFL finally announcing formally that 2020 is dead. Besides being a mad scramble I can't see Noosa wanting to step up to QAFL if NEAFL doesnt re-emerge in 2021.

Gee I can - in fact they contemplated going up a few weeks ago from my understanding if they were allowed to based on the list they would pull together if NEAFL wasn't going ahead. A very strong, well run club.

Possibly the difference with Bond SM is that PR don't sponsor a competition.... :)

If the NEAFL is finally dead and hopefully we never see that style of Martin King designed Rubbish ever happen again...
We need to get the QAFL going and back up to where is was years ago And my personal Opinion is Noosa would go very well
If you have ever been to play them the place is Clearly Well run....

I would not want to be in charge of putting the QAFL and all the Divs together for next year
they will earn there money....

don’t think Marty King designed the NEAFL.
I’ve never been in the same club as him but my dealings in opposition over the years and when he worked at AFL have always been good. He is a great qld footy person

Payne, Toye, Nelis and 6 others NEAFL guys at Aspley..

That's will make them more than competitive! Good for that comp bc I reckon it was going to be a 1 horse race otherwise. Payne looked around up this way but couldn't commit past this year Ive been told but playing at Aspley makes a lot of sense imo.

unless they are Aspley juniors, they are 5 pointers - so it will be tough to fit them in.

NEAFL games don't count towards any sort of service when it comes to player point value in Div 1

Not sure what you mean Thommo but normally a NEAFL player would count as 5 points in Div 1 unless rule has been changed from beginning of season (which it might have been). I think a few of the blokes are Aspley juniors anyway so will only count as 1 pointers which will certainly help!

there was a misconception from some people that because its Aspley and some of their NEAFL lads have been there a long time, that they would be 1 pointers.

Bit of home grown talent there, but no chance they fit all those blokes into the Div 1 points cap!

Oh ok - yeah that's pretty dumb if they thought that.

The Nelis cousins (brtothers?) are Sandgate aren't they?

Payne definitely isn't a local either. I think Toye might be, though have to reach 40 ngame cutoff.
Possibly one of the Stackelberg boys might too. Not sure if they are 1 pointers?? Gee whiz, not that they are to have predicted this but Sandgate would have gone ok with this new situation in Div 1
