Odds came in over night from $1.48 to $1.35 for a Syd win on news of the flight delay. If that rumour is true, watch them come in massively in the next few hours.

If you have the stomach to bet against your own team (and you're a betting person to begin with), might help to offset the disappointment of losing tomorrow by throwing a bit of money on Sydney before their odds come in even more.

Same reason Duffy was dropped, being the 22nd man in a side that has players returning from injury. You don't have to do anything wrong to get dropped in a side that finishes top 4.

I lost a tipping competition in 2001 purely because I wouldn't tip against freo as it ruined watching the game for me. I effectively lost 350 bucks (1st prize) as a result. Fair play to those who can bet against freo, but I'm not one of them. Despite all that's happened with injuries and flights, I still feel like we'll somehow get up. I don't know why as it's not where the smart money would bet, but I reckon if I was a betting man (which I'm not) I would put a little bit on Freo on nothing more than my gut feeling.

I would rather go in with out Sandi, than play with 3 rucks. At least then I had the hope that we could out run them, with 3 rucks we may as well just play 18 purple witches hats.

If we play 3 rucks, it is the only way it could work. I don't want Clarke to play as a defender but I also wouldn't have picked 3 rucks in the 22.

The only way I can see it working is by having 1 play as a defender, and Sandi and Griffen do not have the pace\athleticism to keep up with Franklin or Tippett.

Given the timing, it's quite unlikely they would have been in a position to be informed either way by the time they went to air.

Yeah, but they would have gone through check-in etc. 30-60 minutes ago, that's when anybody with a keen eye would have picked these things up (well you don't need that keen an eye to notice Sandi, but you get what I mean) .

Unless he isn't on the passenger manifest then even the keenest eye can be distracted for a few minutes while he walks through the terminal.

To say someone didn't fly before the plane even leaves the ground is fanciful.
