What is the difference between the 2?

Forza Motorport 6 or the Forza Motorsport brand is the pure sim racer. Tuning, liveries, closed circuit racing.

Forza Horizon brand is the "arcade open world" racer. Always set to a music festival theme. Open world driving with "missions" of sorts.

Is the handling in FH2 different to that of Forza 6?

I haven't played Forza 6 yet but i've played Forza 5.
The handling in Horizon 2 is based on the same engine however it's more arcade like.
It's basically the perfect hybrid of sim style racing and a more forgiving arcadey racer.

I'm definitely on the 'sucks that it's not on Steam' bandwagon. Just like I dislike games that force UPlay. Steam is just a much more reliable, quick platform.

Certainly happy to have the game rather than not have it though, just a bit of a pain.

Really it's just nice Microsoft is giving some consideration to PC gaming for once.

Why would MS even bother from a business standpoint though?
They aren't a charity.

From a business standpoint they would probably make more sales on Steam.

No idea what you mean by the charity statement, they'd clearly be selling the product for a monetary fee.

I assumed a large cut of the profits would go to steam if it was on their store.

They'd still probably (almost certainly) make a larger profit if they just put it on Steam rather than use it to push whatever crappy Windows 10 service they will stop supporting in a year or two!

This is why i wish they didn't bother at all with bringing XB1 titles to PC.
All we will get is whinging, whinging and more whinging.
Like someone else said it's like MS can't win.

They have said the games aren't coming to steam, i doubt they will backtrack from that now.

Put it on Steam and you've erased all whinging though, that's how they win... :p

Other XB1 'exclusives' that have come to PC (DR3, Ryse etc) got Steam releases.

.

3rd Party exclusives. not first party and also not day and date releases.

They are pushing windows 10. I dont mind Windows 10 but the Windows store as a mess. They are also pushing more into Live accounts so they can push up the MAU numbers even more to try and look like they are doing better then they are.

Just hope they dont make the same mistakes as they did with the Windows Live games, but i doubt it.

They all seem to be fairly similar agreements. This isn't a first party game, Remedy aren't owned by MS.

It seems like it's more a marketing push from MS rather than anything against Steam really. Perhaps later down the line it'll hit Steam.

Huh, don't believe it's 1st party?

The games requirements push Windows 10 by themselves (DX12), they're simply pushing the Windows store which lacks several important features and as you mention they have an awful track record with GFWL.

I thought MS bought Remedy in the last few years. So i was wrong with it not being 3rd party

Forza 6 has somewhat simulation like physics, although a lot of cars are very inaccurate. Arguably the best (In realism) handling on console at the moment, although most will say Project Cars has that title.

Forza Horizon runs basically off the physics but is dumbed down to make it more easily playable. Literally anyone could pick up that game and drive. By far best physics of any open world game I have ever played.

Well hope everyone has good internet speeds.
Live Action Cut scenes are streamed to save disc space. Would suck to stream 4K cut scenes on anything other then NBN

Remedy Entertainment's upcoming action title Quantum Break looks to combine elements of a live-action TV drama with the choice-based gameplay to deliver a unique experience. Remedy has confirmed to us that the live-action episodes that play following each act of the game will stream to your Xbox One or Windows 10 PC remotely when the game launches in April.

Because the live-action scenes adapt to your decisions, several variations of the same episode were filmed. "We have 40 different variations of the show in total where basically your choices get to make it evolve and change whether it’s from a junction choice or we have these things called 'Quantum Ripples' which essentially unlocked sort of deleted scenes from the show," narrative designer Greg Louden says. "Then combined with that, the show length can change based on your decisions because some episodes are longer as a result and some episodes are shorter. It basically evolves and that’s why we needed to stream it."

According Louden, Remedy's approach was changed when the team saw how big the files were. "I can’t give you an exact size, but it is big, so we wanted to create this high quality game experience and use all the disc space to maximize the visual effects qualities of the animations and all that stuff. So for us, it was kind of like a natural choice," he says. "Also, our desire to really make it change… I think if we only had one show, it probably would have fit, but we didn’t want to do that. We wanted to do this active experience where you negotiate the story and change it, so this was the only real solution to our problem. When we figured out how big the data was, we had to backpedal and think of some good solutions and this made sense."

When asked if an option will exist for those wanting to download it, Louden says that it will only be offered on the Xbox One version, but the Windows 10 version does feature 4K resolution, making the video size all the more substantial. Quantum Break is set to launch on both Xbox One and Windows 10 April 5.

Interesting if they are genuinely shooting it in a 4K res. There won't be many playing at that setting though, will require a super rig. Most internet connections can stream 1080 pretty comfortably, may be an issue for those out in the genuine sticks.

Most likely 1080 upscaled to 4K, but would still be a 4K filesize. Depending on how the servers are coping it could have buffering issues. Xbox1 users can download them PC have no choice. But could take ages to download them all if you want to do that before starting the game.

Just browsing through youtube and noticed someone was live streaming this.
Had a quick look. Really like how it looks from the minute or so I viewed. Plus saw an Alan Wake Easter egg.
