Question for old timers

Excuse the thread but knew you guys were the quickest way to get an answer

Sam Newman played from 1964 and won the b&f in 68. How is it that he did not play GF (or any finals?) in 67 - I am guessing injury?

that uh... kidney thing kind of happened to him in a final in '67

You were pretty unlucky then - obviously would have been in your best 18 and you only lost GF by 9pt

Richmond had their 1st ruck out Neville Crowe....I think after John Nicholls dobbed him in at the tribunal. But the guy that came in for him - John Ronaldson kicked 3 goals.
