I reckon they'll go Hamill in for Worrell and get Max to play the Worrell role

Nankervis stays down back. Curtin out of the 22.

Then Murphy in for Cook.

Curtin or Cook sub.

Edit - actually scratch that. Murphy won't play vs Collingwood away. He'll come in for the free hit at home vs West Coast

I would like to see Schoenberg come in for Cook.

Without Mihocek I don't see the need for an extra big defender.

Hamill to sub.

McHenry isn't going anywhere.

In: Schoenberg, Hamill, Nankervis (Sub)
Out: Worrell, Curtin.

I'm not a big Cook fan but I thought he was decent today. His best game this year aside from North Melbourne. Don't think he gets dropped if he didn't get dropped after the Essendon or Port Adelaide games.

Zero shots on goal, 1 tackle (zero I50), woeful pressure acts for the game. 11 disposals, 7 of them handballs often to players under pressure. 1 x I50 entry, 2 score involvements. Had 1-2 good moments but let's be honest, Pedlar is coming back in as soon as humanly available as a forward option.

Both our teams play Saturday

Injuries
Luke Pedlar (shoulder) 2-3 weeks

Nick Murray (knee) 3-4 weeks

Riley Thilthorpe (knee) 7-9 weeks

Wayne Milera (knee) season

Patrick Parnell (shoulder) season

and I will add
Josh Worrell (Broken Arm) 12 Weeks
Dani Curtin (General Soreness) 1 week - Dunno he just looked really sore.

So Worrell out for 8-12 weeks. Murray should be back in 2-3 weeks.

Our next few opponents are Collingwood (with no Mihocek), West Coast, Hawthorn, Richmond

The obvious move here is continue to play Curtin and cover being a bit weaker in tall defense for the next 2-3 weeks against a team with few tall forwards then bottom 4 sides

By the time the Richmond (and then Sydney, GWS) games come around, we can strengthen our defense with Murray (joining Butts and Keane) until Worrell is back. At that point, re-assess Curtin, maybe he needs a rest.

What was the experience differential by the way?

How'd Curtin go by the way? I missed the start of the game.

The significantly less experienced Adelaide side broke even with the very experienced Brisbane team

That 100 to 200 game differential is massive 4 to 11.

Imagine when Tex and Smith retire. We will have one player over 200 games for a season or two (Matt Crouch is next one then Keays and Dawson a season or two behind).

We will be too slow and lack any creativity down back with BOTH of Butts and Borlase in the side. Completely out of the question for Borlase to be the one who replaces Worrell for mine. Collingwood’s forward line will contain Mason Cox plus a bunch of mediums and smalls.

Out:
Worrell, McHenry, Smith

In:
Ryan, Dowling, Schoenberg

B: Michalanney - Butts - Hinge
HB: Ryan - Keane - Curtin
C: Nankervis - Crouch - Sholl
HF: Rachele - Walker - Rankine
F: Keays - Fogarty - Himmelberg
R: O’Brien - Dawson - Soligo
Int: Laird - Dowling - Cook - Jones
Sub: Schoenberg

The reality is that Smith is not going anywhere, Ryan is not even being considered for a debut, and former souvenir shop worker Murphy is absolutely coming in. If they find a way to inexplicably select McHenry in the starting 22 again in addition to these other glaring issues (not to mention playing Jones on a wing with Nankervis in defence when anyone with a clue can see that should be the other way around), I’m not sure how anyone could expect any of this ridiculousness to lead to anything good, now or in the future.

I'm a Jones fan, but they can't keep playing him on a wing if it results in Nank having to be moved back. He needs to be played as a small defender and start contributing to positive team outcome. And if not there, then its SANFL.

I can't see any debuts whilst we're still mathematically possible and experienced guys like Spud and Schoey are in the 2s.

Validation of everything and backslaps all round is only a fortnight away.

Was Pedlar in the 1s when he injured himself?
