Both teams have a lot of motive to win.

Pies:

• Pendles record breaking game for number of games and as captain
• Avoid travelling to Perth in week 1
• Gain some much needed form

Port:

• Win the Mclelland trophy
• A fitting send off for Whestoff (Is he playing?)
• Go into finals with winning form

Unless the Pies have a much improved form shift I don't see an upset, Port's mid brigade has a look that they could monster us. Pies will likely defend well but if they play possession game instead of taking the game on they won't kick a match winning score.

Port by about 5 goals.

Very interested in how we deal with Cox tonight, less so in the 1v1 matchup but more so in the team approach. We could play against any of Hawkins, Lynch, Hipwood (who we notably struggle against) and Kennedy in finals, so it's crucial that we find a way to neutralize big key forwards starting with tonight.
