Once again, major cracks beginning to show in the beaten grand final side. I don't know why, but that has become somewhat of a routine in recent years when a team loses the grand final badly. Someone posted a full history not too long ago (in the ladder prediction thread I think).Eagles getting a football lesson on the road. Reverting back to their flat track bully status.
2015 we didn't have a great season, sort of what could go wrong went wrong. Even the same in 2013 after we won it.Once again, major cracks beginning to show in the beaten grand final side. Nice to see the Dees clawing their way off the bottom rung...
On current form that seems about right. I'm really keen to see how we go against some top eight sides though (and even the Saints next week - they've looked alright at times). My ladder predictor has them locked into ninth place, several matches behind eighth and several matches ahead of tenth.
It's almost the inverse of the dogs squiggle!Geez Checkout that Richmond squiggle, its a straight line going backwards...
Guess thats what Hardwick meant?
After only 5 rounds I think the squiggle has nailed the top 8 with that prediction. The order will no doubt change but in a season that appeared so close it feels like there's a big drop off from 8th to 9th and beyond.Round 5, 2016Animated!

Hawthorn are winning all the close games, just like they lost them last year. Karma! This doesn't mean much to the squiggle, though, since a close game is a close game, no matter who won. But it does a lot for the Hawks' Top 2 chances in a season where it's easy to imagine a glut at the top.
Sydney and Geelong had great weeks, which squiggled them off to where most of their supporters probably thought they belonged all along. Similarly, the squiggle's faith in Port and Richmond, based on 2015 results, evaporated further. Curiously, though, Richmond is in almost exactly the same place as the same time last year. And in the weeks after that, they slid even further. So things can turn around. It was the Round 8 game vs Port Adelaide that ignited the Tigers' season, winning away 43-76, and those two play each other this week.
Also an important week for the Giants, with an away win over one of those teams the Hawks beat by 3 points, I forget which. Melbourne delivered their third 100-pt game in a row, while also executing a neat squiggle twist that looks like they're nimbly dodging around other teams' squiggles. And Carlton made Essendon look a lot more like a wooden spooner, and crossed streams with them to boot.

Flagpole! It was 1-Hawks, 2-Eagles, 3-Crows before Round 1 and it's still that now, but they're a lot closer.

It should do after our Freo game this week..The squiggled never ceases to amaze me with it's awesomeness, I hope our squiggle takes a hard right.

I'm thinking we'll really start to click into gear a couple rounds out from the bye. Also get Roughy back not long after that. Then we'll have a surge up and right. Not as great as last year, but enough to put us deep into the middle of the premiership zone again.I don't like Hawks lurking around our 2009 Cup.
I love how the squiggle has Essendon finishing last, yet Roby's "Power Rankings" inexplicably has Essendon in 1st place.![]()
We need to keep the Dockers below 75 to head right and score over 112 to head up. Provided the weather isn't wet, both are within the realms of possibility.
Roby is giving Essendon 20 goals for drug suspensions.I love how the squiggle has Essendon finishing last, yet Roby's "Power Rankings" inexplicably has Essendon in 1st place.![]()
