It was a pretty good side he was trying to crack into. Another couple of years & a position would have definitely opened up for him post 1996.

Not sure it was him but do remember David Parkin telling a story of a player in his first game sat on the bench for most, got given a run, fumbled a possession and Parkin immediately dragged him, he got dropped the next week and that was his career in Navy Blue.

EDIT: You are right, Round 2 1992 Oliver was on the bench all game, in reply Oliver up and went back to Castlemaine for the rest of the year.

EDIT 2: Found my guy, Round 10 1994 vs Footacray Peter Green was my unlucky guy.

Michael Kennedy played in our 1987 premiership team (new player Matt Kennedy) and Damian Lang played a couple of games in the late 90's (new player Darcy Lang)

Andrew Phillips who played from 89-91 was the last one ( had to go searching for that one, had forgotten him).
