Yeah they're pretty amazing. I found it hard to pick between them and the Sony 1000XM2, Sony kinda had the advantage with 40hr battery life, but the lightness of the Bose and comfort won me over. I managed to get mine for $415 around christmas, but even after owning them for a few months i'd happily spend full retail on them.

Did you try on both? And have a listen? The noise cancellation is a cool feature but not a dealbreaker, I'm tossing up between those very same two models.

I've heard that the Sony has slightly better sound but the Bose are slightly more comfortable. Sony longer battery life but finicky touch controls, Bose better ANC and actual button controls.

It's a pretty even split. Your thoughts? Thanks

Yeah don't worry I put so much time and effort in to trying to dissect the two and really at the end of the day couldn't tell any difference in the way of audio. Sony probably have a little bit better bass response, but pretty negligible.

I had also ready about the sony headband breaking, but also read that the Mk2 version had this issue fixed as Sony actually acknowledged the problem. I didn't really enjoy the touch control on the Sony to change songs, found that when I was trying them on and adjusted them on my head I would accidently change songs. However the bose doesn't actually have a button to go Prev/NXT on their headphone, just vol up/down and pause. Didn't really bother me as I wear my apple watch 99% of the time so can control essentially everything from there.

Battery life I didn't see as too much of an issue, I've charged my headphones 3 times since christmas. So unless you are doing constant long haul flights without access to a powerpoint I don't think the difference between 28hrs and 40hrs is actually a selling point.

The bose noise cancellation was definitely better. Obviously these guys have the patent to ANC noise cancelling, so Sony's is technically a different technology. Found that Bose's noise cancelling was better as it allowed you to listen to music at a quieter volume.

Unfortunately for me I think the Sony's look alot nicer than the Bose though. Not a fan of the defined oval shape that Bose use (obviously it's better for ear comfort though).

Haha, no no
I just don't use earphones or listen to music unless I'm on my computer or running through a proper stereo system

I don't like earphones (not own any iPods) because they are not good for your ears
Plus it's nice to stop and take in the world occasionally

I will have to check with them, although when I check the match threads my jumpers don’t come up (lost to Photobucket) so I’m guessing they just used the links.

Yeh I did just check one match thread and found the same thing. However I did a little test and went to this thread and as you can see all the images are dead but if I go to my Photobucket account it is still there in the library.

Maybe try your Photobucket or wherever you uploaded it to and see if its still there?
