They were the Adelaide company that made most of the lace-up jumpers.
That is either one of the best replicas ever made, or legit.
Though I'd have to have a look at the wear on the Tetley logo and the Vic Hill logo to verify that.

As far as what it goes for, not really my area.
But from what I can tell, it looks game worn.
You'd want some sort of provenance, like a photo of a player handing it over, or a back story how they came to get it.
Tetley were only sponsors in 1980 & 1981, and the lace-ups were banned in the late 80s.
There's a chance it's a 1980 premiership jumper.
That would have to increase the value.

Vic Hill, that's the company in Adelaide that made them years ago.

I'd be looking for every pic of Michael Roach in the 1980 GF I could find, if I was them.
He wouldn't have been able to keep his 1981 jumper, because they would have still used it in 1982 with the new sponsor logo, but the 1980 jumpers might have been swapped with Collingwood players, or just kept.

I wouldn't have thought so, but it's possible.
At the time I understood Sekem and Jason were the only ones selling footy jumpers.
And they didn't do sponsor logos.
Someone might have got this made up, but I doubt Vic Hill would have had Tetley logos.
They were sewn on at the club.

I would think the most likely scenario is a Collingwood player scored it after the game, and has either given it away, possibly to Richmond and/or Michael Roach, possibly to someone else.
If someone says they got it from Richmond, I'd begin to doubt their story, actually.
I think the actual story would be more interesting than that.
These jumpers were very difficult to come by, and I don't think companies like Vic Hill sold one-offs.

They were seen as part of the colour telly revolution, and were not really looked at as weird.
coloured shorts, coloured boots, brighter jumpers, everything was changing.
(Unless you were wearing them in park footy, then you copped heaps.)
And they were specially made in club colours by adidas.
But I guess they were made to the existing templates, so they would have been Red Copa Mundials.
(Which were my boots back in the day. I had a pair of Cameron Clayton's old boots from 1983.)

I walk into the bar area & there a big picture. Im not kidding its atleast 4metres by 2

Of a essendon team from the mid 80's all in there jumpers at windy hill. All signed by them aswell.
I guessing it was in the social rooms at windy hill at one stage as it was a very unique item. Ill go take photos.

Btw this place had framed jumpers everywhere.
Even had a carlton 90's mnm jumper on the wall

As long as people copped it in the park! I think it's a universal rule that you shouldn't wear anything but black and white boots. Even in the AFL, coloured boots are a bit cringeworthy. There's nothing lamer than a new bloke rocking up to training in a pair of orange and green Nike Mercurials. Especially when it's WAAFL colts...

I too had Copa Mundials. I got about three years use out of them, well worth the $220. My old man always wanted them as a kid in the 70s and 80s, never got them, so he'd check out my pair every so often! Nothing cooler or more comfortable. The gulf between wearing Copas and coloured plastic ones is usually also distinguished by a cool looking jumper, or a totally rad mad bitchin' bird-head clash jumper.

Copa Mundials were like wearing slippers, they were the best pair of boots I ever had.
Absolutely awesome.
Mine had the interesting back story that they were the boots Cameron Clayton was wearing when he knocked out Dipper at Windy Hill in 1983.
My dad was a property steward at the club, and at the end of the season they became the training boots and they got new game boots.
Then, at the end of that season the two year old boots were thrown out/given away and they got new boots again.
Rinse and Repeat.
So I got Cameron Clayton's 1983 boots in 1985.
My dad had Leon Baker's boots, which are now with the Essendon Hall of Fame.

Cool story. Who'd you play for and what position? I love how the design has basically never changed. These days, the back only has adidas, there's no trefoil logo. Contemplating getting another pair for this season. You only live once, or so they say.
